Thread: Dual Wield Sheath

What about a Sheathed weapon. A katana with a sheath that can be used with the main sword that couldhelp defense, or be used in a few new special moves. When out of combat the sword would show on your belt, and if u weren't using it in combat the sheath would show.I think the last part was previously suggested. The sword itself could get different damage type. A vibro-katana that has a electro or heat motor in it(this has been suggested hundreds of times).

Good thought but in the immortal words of SOETyrant, No.
Basically the only thing even keeping the thought of dual weilding at all is the fact that the motion captures had been done back in 03'.
However if you know anything about Database codeing and Scripting languages you know that just haveing motion capture and applying it to the in game skeleton is a monumental task for more than a dozen moves. Then there is writing it into the game world and getting Lucas Arts to sign off on it, then there is the combat database that needs to be linked to the aformentioned moves. Then balancing and QA testing. Don't forget a method of turning on/off Dual wielding would have to be found.
In effect it would be like codeing a whole new profession just for Fencers to have an alternate method of attack style.
The sheathed weapons idea is well liked by everyone (unlike dual wielding which is not anywhere near a majority for it), and the code would be applicable for all combat professions as opposed to just one (or two if you add pistoleers). However even that is a flat out No answer waiting to happen. Likely for the same reasons why Rebel Ace helmets are only wearable by Human/Zabrak even though those two races are not the majority when put against the other races of the EU in the Alliance.
