I believe fencers dodge...not counter-attack. So in other words, no.

No, even if it said "Two-Handed Weapon Counterattack" it still wouldn't work You need just regular "Counterattack" for it to work.

So does that also mean that the tapes that say "one handed weapon evasion" also dont work? and it would just have to be "dodge"?

Anything with evasion doesn't work.

fencers/pistoleers have dodge only
rifleman/pikeman have block only
swordsman/carbineer have counter-attack only
and i dont belive they any of them work when using another profession
for example,
