Thread: One-hand sword experience
Hunt some humanoid monsters. Look for white cons and Yellow cons, preferrably solo ones. If you have medic skills, it might help with self preservation. Pick it up for now if you wanna solo a bit, and drop it later when you've gotten far enough with your sword skills.
Generally, while fighting a humanoid, try throwing a dizzy on them, then using your 1hand lunge to force them to kneel. When they try to get up, there's a chance they'll just fall flat on their back and be knocked down for a good few rounds of combat. While they're laying on the floor, start whoppin' on em. This really helped me get a lot of one handed experience. Give it a shot, I'm sure other people have better method's they've used.
Hey Deium,
I was doing the same as you, hunting standard mobs in the field for junky XPs.ÃÂ A few of the guys here suggested that I try hunting humanoid targets instead of creature ones.ÃÂ Been doing that for the last couple days and it is much better.ÃÂ Usually I can take an even or yellow con humanoid mob and be almost full HAM bars by the time it is done.ÃÂ The whole lunge+dizzy combo is great for knocking them down and keeping them there.
To give you some idea I get about 270 XPs on even or better humanoids instead of about 120 XPs off a normal creature mob, and my downtime is much less.
I should hit master soon...
By a probot, learn how to manage aggro decently ( it can be done) and go solo some ( if your on naboo) Rogue Falumpasets, Peko peko's, Giant peko peko's, lots of things. Its quite easy to step in the fight when the creature is at half health and get 600+ xp depending on how much damage you do over the 'bot. bots have 3k HAM and decent resits, so they can tank pretty good. Take up Scout, make a camp, store the droid then call it back instant refill of their HAM and battery.
My 'bot Probomon is the greatest purchase i have ever made.
I just made novice fencer but before then when I had to solo. I went to a PVE battlefield. I was all by myself and there were lone rebel npc walking around the field. They were usually white-red con. Most had health from 1000-3000. Using the knockdown and dizzy I made great xp and ontop of that I was making the fastest fraction points I've ever made too.
There were some slow downtimes, but if you die, you don't get cloned you just get sent to the outside fence of battlefield. So there is no death! Only you have to wait for the next battle to go back in.
Its was a long run to me, but it was fun and a good option.
I'm workin on my 125k xp for novice fencer too. I find there's a few ways to get some uber xp. One, get in a group that's heading to the Tusken Raider Fortress on Tatooine, when you get there you'll probably already see a large group. Everytime I've been there's at least 30-40 other people. Get into the fray, killing a Bantha or Tusken Raider gives awsome xp, I was getting 400-600 xp, after only hitting them 3-4 times. Attack one, move to the outskirts of the battle, regen, and go back in.
Another good one is the Narglatch (sp) cave on Naboo just outside of Moenia. If you go with a group of 15-20 you can gain a lot of experience in reletive saftey, depending on the levels of rest of the group.
Other than that, humanoids are the way to go.
