Thread: New idea for future mounts?

I was just thinking about mounts this morning and I think I came up with a decent idea. We all know that range attackers will be able to kite you guys on mounts, but what if fencers were to get an damage enhancement while riding mounts? It only makes sense to me that the damage would be more sense you are going at a higher speed than running. This is if they add mounts heh. I could see it now, calvary charging towards ranged attackers and slicing off their heads . Well anyways what do you guys think.

P.S. I have not read the fencer forums before so if this was already suggested please dont flame. Thanks

Mr. DiePur ( i could't resist the diaper joke)-

we don't flame here. anyone who does isn't welcome, at least as far as i can tell. it's only annoying and gets nothing done.

to reply:

yes, i think a list of special attacks while mounted is definitely in order, such as charge, which only works from 20 meters out, and causes extra damage. or perhaps we can utilize the special attacks of the creature on command. something like that.

what would be even better is the ability to jump fro your mount onto an enemy's and grapple him to the ground. yeah, i know this would be impossible to implement, and might unbalance. but it would be fun as HELL.

78% of those polled agree: Altair would most likely "Reeve" himself when attempting this trick.

IF you can attack when mounted (which I think will be unlikely at first), the mounts should effact two factors "travel speed" and "attack accuracy". and faster mounts would hurt your accuracy more then slower mounts

For example a mount's stats may look something like

Condition: 9700/1000

Armor rating: Light

Travel Speed: +150%

Attack accuracy: -40%

Sense range players would be hurt more by an accuracy loss then a melee player, we will able to get faster mount.
