Which means no longer do they have to remove knucklers to spam specials

I think what is going on here, is the TKA class is the fore front or runner in testing for melee. They want to see how far they can go to balance out a single melee class to test its strengths an weaknesses before adjusting the other classes. So for a little while we have to endure the annoyance of not seeing our class adjusted. It is very annoying that even as a master fencer we cant tank worth dittly. But we can sure dish out damage, it isnt bad but still fencers REALLY need adjustments.

IMO pikeman should get priority, they are completely broken.

The attic was less to us from the cellar the bones like the attic let them have it let them stay in the attic. When they sometimes come down the stairs at night and stand perplexed behind the door and headboard of the bed brushing that chalky skull with chalky fingers with sounds like the dry rattling of a shutter. Thats what I sit up in the dark to say.

They are rotating through certain issues based on a number of things. Severity of the issue first: Is this a bug that canbeexploited to ruin gameplay or crash the server? After that they seem to take quite a few things in mind: How longhas the issue been known and waiting Vs. How difficult would it be to correct the issue quickly Vs What kind of "ripples" could changing some aspect cause. They want to be as efficient with their efforts as they can.

For now, let's be happy for TKA that they received a goody. We will get our turn and we don't to have a reputation for sour grapes when it happens. Anything good for any melee is a positive sign that melee are being improved, and the devs are hearing our plea.

Good news, TKA!Congrats!

Exactly right. If they listen to one, they're going to listen to all. i dislike the claims that devs have favorite classes. i can't imagine being in their shoes and actually having the gall to pick and choose favorite classes for the things that's keeping me in work. the game's buggy, yes. but even with the bugs, it's still an amazingly fun and tightly constructed game. the scope of this project is truly amazing.

now that i have praised them, i should say that i think they can me more communicative. i know it's a full time job keeping up with us, but it would make it easier on them if they could give us a "heard you guys, we're working on (specific issue)." i think the problem is the general public. the masses have always been 14% the intelligence of any given individual within that mass.

cheers to TKA's getting some good stuff, Pikeman next right? then save the best for last. arrogance is part of the fencer modus operandi, right?

it seems like the TKAs only needed a small tweak, and i would imagine that's why they got it first. i would hate to try and create that big of a patch and fix EVERY issue for every class. last night was a bit hectic due to server lag and such, and most of the issues probably stemmed from the big patch. i'm sure that the bigger individual fixes will come later when the devs have a chance to focus on how those work instead of worrying about the ai and world stuff.

here's a question for a TKA... how much of what you asked for was granted? i'd like to know the gravity of the response we'll see regarding our own issues when we're up to bat. granted, we still don't have cleats or the left sleeve of our uniforms, but we would still like to play as well as we can.

p.s. people who use baseball analogies for -anything- should be slapped.

I haven't read much into the other melee forums but I have read some. Power boost wasa completelybroken, non-functioning skill. Some skills aren't as effective as they were intended, others cost too much ham, etc..but power boost didn't work at all and it seems that it was intended to be the main reason to buy up the meditate tree. Other than this specific TKA change, I didn't really see any other major changes to TKA that doesn't affect all brawlers in general. Thanks for the congrats though, now we can tank even better with 500-1k more ham before buffs =P

oh and one more thing, our ham costs without knucklers was already extremely low. Many TKAs complained because they didnt know this. For me, unarmed hit 2 (my primary form of attack) costs around 10 of each health/action/mind to use without VKs equipped and the most any other move costs is 60-70 for KD2. They couldn't have lowered the ham costs by that much considering this, the VKs will still come off when I use specials unless I'm buffed. But I agree, work on the others and leave us TKAs alone for a while!

Powerboost was very bugged before the patch. Basically, half of your mind pool was wounded and you were boosted in stats for about 5-30 seconds. And powerboost (besides the new kd bug) was the only really discernable change I saw with our class.

Thank you for your support for the class. I agree, though, that the other melee classes are in much more serious need of a looking-over than the Teras Kasi.

Aww lay off the TKA's already. Did they petition SOE say "make us the best melee and deliberately ignore fencers because they're all sissy chumps who wear tights" ? I highly doubt it. They're just fortunate enough to get their issues addressed before us.

Know why? Likely because there are at least 3 TKA's for every 1 fencer you'll see. For some reason the role of the "monk" really resonates with MMORPG gamers. Maybe too many people stayed up late to watch Kung Fu when they were kids. Maybe it's the whole Jacki Chan/Matrix phenomenon of our times. What can I say, people like whacking stuff with their fists in these games.

I don't like the arrogant TKA minority any more than you do. But just go on doing your thing and let them talk smack. They'll be the ones crying when Fencers are properly balanced because they'll be the ones with no skills or tactics. Yeah, being at the top makes some people lazy, and many of those lazy types are the same ones with the "I pwnZ0r J00" attitude.

In the mean time enjoy being different. You'll miss these days when fencers become the new flavor of the month. Just wait, it's gonna happen. Then maybe you'll know how the veteran Commandos feel.
