How do the defense work? In what order are they factored? When receiving an attack, what order are they activated?Melee/ranged defense first, followed by dodge, then armor resists, then toughness?
How are they factored? I heard toughness is 0.5% reduction for every +1, so +20 toughness would reduce damage suffered by 10%, is this correct? Is this true for the other defenses? Would +125 ranged defense reduce ranged damage 62.5%, or does it have a 62.5% chance of evading a hit? What about Dodge, how does +90 Dodge effect your defenses versus +10 Dodge?
How does COB work? What calculations do COB eficacy go by in reducing or avoiding damage?
Thank you for anyone that knows how to answer these.

The order in which it works, as far as I am aware is:
Dodge enhancing food(different from +dodge), Melee/Ranged defense, dodge, AP/AR armor penalties/bonuses, Armor resistances, toughness.
I think the PvP damage reduction and Mitigation come before all that but I'm not sure.
As for how they work, I can't give you exact numbers hon as I don't know the exact equations. But, here are a few answers for you:
- Melee/Ranged defense is like anti-accuracy, it boosts the chance for an attack to outright miss you.
- If you do get "hit" dodge then gives you a chance at avoiding the damage(you are still technically "hit" however).
- CoB works by boosting your "special defense". In the case of Fencers/Pistoleers, that defense is "Dodge". I believe for Fencers, if you were capped at +125 dodge and used CoB, while CoB was active it would be like having +200 dodge. Again, I really don't have any hard numbers for you, but that is what CoB does...temporarily boost your +dodge mod.
