Im currently a Master Fencer/Master Doc but im about to start dropping Doc slowly as i go up the TK line. Master Fencer - 4/0/0/0 TK (meditate and powerboost) and ... a master ranged prof. But not sure which one. Went up a lot of rifle before i went fencer but never mastered it. I knowi always wear a energy/stun helmet because of thembut thats about all i really know heh Master Pistoleer would be nicefor the defence(and dual wield on both pistols and fencer would benice if it ever comes about )and carbine would be nice for the dizzy/kd run in and beat em up kinda fight. And of course rifleman for the mind attacks etc, but i am a firm believer that the devs are dusting off thier rifleman and combat medic mind attack nerf bats wich i think will make the rifle not as tempting but still a strong pvp/pve profession.

So what do ya think? Which would best compliment fencer? I'm thinking pistols but the carbine looks promising too. Any suggestions?

I would definately go with pistoleer. It would make you very hard to hit with that dodge cap.

Pure deadliness I'd say

Rifleman once you hit master is AWESOME! Cant praise it enough. 4/4/4/4 Rifleman SUCKS compared to MRM - yes it IS that good.

check my sig for template info...its nicely balanced, not too too strong in pve or pvp...but balanced, good def, and melee/ranged flexibility in battle.

I would say don't go fencer/rifleman as they specialize in 2 different damage types. Pistoleer would probably be best because it targets the health pool as well, but having these2 profs would severely limit your acces to PvE combat. If you want Pvp AND PvE I would go fencer/rifleman.

Personally I like Master Carbineer, TK 4004 and Master Fencer.

You get Powerboost, meditate, FOW and the TK defenses, Fencer of course, and Ranged Damage mitigation.

Carbineer is not the best for PvP, but I prefer it over Pistoleer, especially if you don't like the FOTM Rifleman like me. The great thing about Carbineer is that if you get yourself a krayt carbine, you can easily fire close to or at the speedcap, and have ScatterShot2 at your disposal.

Mix ScatterHit with ScatterShot, or throw in Carbineer's FullAuto series for a Ranged Stun/Dizzy/Blind (if your target is kiting you, at say 30-50m), or even throw in a few ChargeShots from 50m and it's pretty effective in PvP. If your target equips a rifle, no problem, equip a carbine - mitigation works. Get close enough to them, and smack em with your baton. Intimidate them too - bye bye MasterHeadShot.

The only issue is damage-output in PvE, really. For PvP, carbineer will help you set your target up for the baton kill. In PvE however, while you can tank anything, it'll be hard to hit them for a lot of damage, compared to say Rifleman or Swordsman.

Bleh..you can get dodge food instead of doing the pistoleer tree. Do the defense tree from pistoleer, it's considerably better, and you get the geo pistol cert. And that gives you 2 lovely stun weapons at your disposal.

But I hear alot of master fencer/rifleman combos..that seems to be the other FOTM, besides CM/Rifleman.

I am a Fencer / Rifleman but definitly not FOTM. I started out working for RIfle, then my first Holo was Fencer. Then I started seeing how they worked together, and fell in love.

You have the best of both worlds, close combat and range, you have no weakness for people to play too. It's great for PVE as well as PVP.

If I am using my rifle, people always charge in, figuring they will beat me in close. Whip out the stun baton, then they try and run away. Back to rifle.

Rifle by itself isn't broken, nor is Fencer, it's just that they work well together, and they should, you mastered 2 combat professions.

Don't worry about the "hitting different pools thing." it doesn't matter. All that really matters is Mind, because if they have mind they can still heal. Fencer doesn't have Mind, but you don't need it, here is why.

Start with Rifle, Headshot as long as you can. Odds are pretty good they wont like that and will charge you. Now their Mind is all shot to hell (pardon the pun,) you have a couple of options for Fencer mode. Try to knock them down, Scatterhit, or just 1h3 away. Either way, can win, the fact that they hardly have any mind left means they can't heal much.

If they try and run away, back to the Headshots again.

The reason a template becomes FOTM is because it works.

I'm a Master Fencer/Master Carbineer as well. I really like the combination, especially in raids where I can set up other combat professions with some crowd control shots and then pull out a baton and finish off whoever is in front of me. I know this works well because I get tells asking me to lead the way with a few other Carbineers and set the tone. When I see someone flopping around from my KD/Dizzy I just pull out the Fencer skills and go to work. I dig the Fencer/Carbine combo, but that's just my opinion
