Thread: Noob question about SpinAttack 1 not working after the first few hits

I've just become a Novice Fencer and headed down the Jinda Caves on Endor (ooh, they are nice caves for Fencer XP) and have been using SpinAttack 1 on the mobs. However, I find that while SpinAttack works for several 'rounds', after a while, it stops working. I hit my SpinAttack mapped function key and can key up several specials in a row, but they are cleared out of the combat queue almost immediately and I only do a normal attack on a single beastie.
Is there some limit on the number of spinattacks I can do? Or is there a specials limit of which I don't know about? THanks in advance.

What is probably happening is you are still targeting a creature that died. You can't use a special on a dead creature, so this would cause you to auto attack what ever hits you, then you try a special, but it won't work. Just make sure that when the creature you target first dies to change to a live creature.

yeah sounds exactly like your trying to special something dead, hit tab once and that should index you to another mob your fighting

I was going to say the same thing as the previous two posters. I do that ALL the time. hehe
Btw: I just hit novice fencer too. I went to Endor and got my butt handed to me. Are you wearing really nice armor or how do you handle it? I never went into the cave, just tried to do some missions. Are you soloing the cave?

Thanks for the responses guys - I was doing exactly what you described! Once I tabbed, it was all good.
To NameWithheld - yup I am soloing the cave. I've died a few times when i take on a few too many ewoks at once. While I'm no expert, my tips are:
- don't take on too many ewoks at once
- get buffered beforehand and make sure you get a mind buff as well
- drink varasian brandy - two doses
- make sure you have COB running
- use SpinAttack
I've also just migrated my stats to give more stats to my mind and willpower.
