Thread: mastering fencer.. what ranged prof do you guys suggest I master?

Ok, I am pretty much a noob, and all I know is I want to master fencer, and some sort of ranged prof but I cannot decide which one..


I was thinking carbineer, because its apparently gonna be fixed soon, and it seems like a good choice for someone into melee. I am pretty sure I dont want to be a pistoleer, but rifleman is a possibility..


Anyways, any help is appreciated

Rifleman and Fencer kick arse in PVP.......pretty much Rifleman and anything kick arse in PVP.

Do not get a ranged profession, in my opinion.

I am Master Rifleman and TKM at the moment (working my way to Master Fencer) and it's a blast. You can hit from 60m away until it comes up close and then you can just pound it to death.

Haha i'll debate that, rifles are way overused. Making them lame and ununique. Up until tonight i really tried to level rifleman, but i hate it, CARBINES to me seem way cooler, so im doin master fencer/master carb/ranged support 4/and 1/0/4/3 pistoleer. This pretty much caps you on ranged and melee def. caps the dodge, and gives you a really nice +115 def to kd. Say what you will i dont think rifles are the be all end all of this game.

I agree..everyone and their brother is a Rifleman/(insert profession) template..so why not do something that everyone else is NOT doing. I hear Carbs is good, because of the ranged dizzy and kd they get.


Mine is kinda goofy, but I've always wanted to be a smuggler.



Master Smuggler (low blow and last ditch, and oh yeah..feign death)


Master Fencer (great defenses)


TKA 4-0-0-0 (for meditation instead of novice medic and force of will, just in case)


Pistoleer 0-0-4-0 (added defenses to the fencer line)


Marksman 0-4-0-0 (for going up the Pistoleer tree)

Im going for master carb and master TK and dabble with fencer 4/4/0/0 ( and scout ) or maybe fencer 4/4/4/0 w/o scout

But should i master fencer and dabble with TK?

I personally would say master fencer and dabble in TKA, especially if you PvP.

well im maked this template (sry no ranged) master fencer, master pikeman, master brawler(aint rdy yet but soon),novice medic,

and maybe 0-4-0-4 swordman for pve or medid tree on tka or scout


and so far this is pretty good..

ifi cant dmg oppnent with normal attack i just stick mind(havent finded health yet)fire/poison

and this is pretty good on pve too..

I have Master Fencer, Master Carbs and 4004 TKA and I love it. I hate Riflemen and I actually happen to love Carbines, so it was a natural choice for a ranged profession.


Just yesterday, I was dueling a Rifleman - I was using the FullAuto series to stick a dizzy on him, then use posture down/Chargeshot (KD) to keep him still, and Id move in for the Stun Baton melee kill.


Carbines are extremely useful for setting up a target for a Fencer kill in PvP. Rifleman/Fencer would simply consist of you primarily using your Rifle with the Fencer defense bonuses.
