Going to the janta/mokk/kunga strongholds/caves will get you the highest number of them in the shortest amount of time and best chanes for decent loot - or you can do the standard solo missions for cash and hope for loot that way also. Just clear them out as fast as you can and move on to the next POI if you're serious about looking on Dant for dot stone knives. You'll get a lot of low-level action poisons, but can also get decent mind and health poison knives. I personally have looted about 100 or 150 different dot knives on dantooine and have kept I think 3 - a nice health poison and a couple good mind poison knives. I've seen better though.

As far as For Tusken, that dang place. I have very nice mind poison dot rifles that I've kept and a lot of lower level rifles that I've sold. But as far as decent melee weapons go, I've never gotten one. Fort Tusken is a spot that you have to devote time to just looting...over and over and over. But, the payout for those that get nice stuff from there is huge. If you're the one wieldingthe mind fire gaffi, you'll be a happy camper.

Only other possibility I can think of for getting a nice dot 1h weapon might be an npc jedi - their loot table seems to span all professions.

I looted a Mind Fire Gaffi from the Tusken fort. Strength is about 160, ticks for just over 200 though. This is the only weapon i've kept from spending a lot of grinding hours in fort tusken. Also I got a janta knife from janta missions, not a bad little mind poison (110)

If it says Janta Knife, it seems to be a standard drop, so it will have 110 mind poison. I've never seen one with any different stats, and I have owned, looted, or seen many of them.

If a Janta happens to drop a weapon that says "Stone Knife," then it is a random loot, so you have a chance of something with better DOT, or perhaps skill mods.

I've never seen one with different stats, even the potency, duration, and uses all seem to be the same, and always mind. If someone has seen a Janta knife with different stats, please let us know, it would be helpful.

Also I believe the standard Donkuwah Knife has 110 action poison. The Nyax swords, curved and regular, seem to have a standard health DOT.

The only thing that leads me to think that these are not necessarily fixed is because the Nighsister Lance seems to vary, but otherwise, all the above examples seem to be the same, except for condition. But again, I'd be interested in hearing about what other people have seen.

The "standard" janta knife is mind poison, 600 uses, 110 effectiveness, (60% potency?). However just because that is the standard doesn't mean it is always the case. I'm fairly sure Ihave looted action poison janta knife's

Fort Tusken is the place for dot gaffis. Warlords seem to drop them more often. However the last week i spent there i didnt get any dot weapons, meh. They are out there though, just not dropping for me lately. The weeks before however i walked away with a mind poison gaffi, health poison, health fire (had low potency though), action poison, and another poison gaffi with secondary action poison.

I bought 2 mind DoT gaffis one is 136 mind poisan with -1 uses and one is 146 with around 4k uses not uber stuff but gets the job done. My friend bought a real nice gaffi with a 294 mind poisan and -1 uses.
