ok, in a pvp battle it makes no real diff as in battle things are so chaotic you will be able to sprint out heal up and head back in (assuming u have what oi have mdoc/mfencer)
in a duel i just did 2 duels with my guildmate who is a pikeman (and a def stacker) i could heal to a point but when he did KD me (im not a stacker, not high state defenses) the poison kicked in and when i was down i found that even a 4k mind dropped fast. The only way to counter it is the minute u have a state kite, while you kite heal yourself and stop and then turn and fight. if u get more DoT's on you rinse and repeat.
at all costs avoid a KD if your against a pikeman with a good DoT weapon, because then when kd the poison can take effect and you cant heal it. always make sure u run, and when u get a DoT (dizzy,poison, blind, intim anything that disadvantages you) run and heal then stop and fight.
the reason for running is because if you are poisoned while u r KD you will be dead, simple as that, running isnt necessary against any other proffesions in duel.
pikeman can only stand up to fencer with weapons, the proffesion is dependant on good NS lances with powerful DoT's. also try using melee 3...in pvp i hit for 650 with that move and i only have a 150-250 (no pup) baton.....in another duel v a tkm that move let me bypass (somehow) his stun armor and got his health down to half before we ended (he was wearing 37%stun 68%base stun)

pikeman will win against a fencer do to DoT weapons..even without DoT wepons it's because pikeman have a nice stun def..add a psg and a stun comp your stun baton is pretty much useless unless you got one of those uber acklay batons.

stun def mod increases def v the stun DoT not stun armor i think

So..In your experience who wins? I dont have enough experience yet but ive heard a lot about fencer Vs swordsman or TKA but never vs pikeman.
Pikeman have pretty bad defenses but have powerful attacks, so its a hard one to say?
Are pikeman better at PvP or PvE??

Pikemen will own people IF they use DOT weapons, which is VERY common. The nice thign about fencer is that we have such high defense bonuses and can dodge most of these attacks. In general it is my experience that a pikeman wins against an all melee character but won't against a ranged/melee character. Just my $0.02.

The Pikeman's only hope is to land viscous DOT's and hope the Fencer isn't a Doctor.

wrong, wrong, 100% wrong, i'm a master pikeman/fencer myself, and my lance is so strong i don't need DoT's, i can kill a buffed unarmored player in 2-3 hits, i have killed many swordsmen/fencers and TKM's in "fair" duels (no buffs and armor) using my polearm, my polearm without DoTs...

Depends on what type of pikeman your fighting, if hes a DOT whore with good dots then your probly gonna loose unless your a doc (got hit with some poison from a pike that took 4 minutes to meditate off). If hes a pure pikeman with regular weapons then it should be pretty even depending on the strenght of the pike.

I have done pikeman twice, and I still have my super good pikes (high damage/low speed and dot loots) and I must say pikeman straight up sucks in PVP especially against composite armor, but if I whip out my 283 action fire LVA and continuously hit leghit2 the opponment will be done in moments unless he kites and takes a swim. I dueled alot without using dot weapons, I used my 2.7 172-695 LVA and 2.9 224-824 VL and neither were a match for a TKM, MFencer or the likes.
I ended up in a 1 vs 3 overt fight the other night, was soloing a master BH but a known uber dot pikeman came up behind me so I kept warcrying him and I had np.

I agree. I have +25 speed and accuracy, a +793 LVA, +722 VL, and I can't scratch a melee player with pikes. However, you drop a health/action/mind fire on them and it's over in about 30 seconds, bit longer if they are docs.
Speed capped pikemen can put a real hurt on jedi with looted pikes tho... especially non-master sabers.

You must be crazy if you think that fencer cannot beat pikeman...i dueled a masterpikeman/masterbrawler speed capped and accuracy capped....kicked his ass he had psg and stun armor

I think Fencer would win unless the Pikeman had an uberdot pike, but Pikeman needs fixing. All Fencer needs is a new ap1 weapon with damage as high as the gaffi, or maybe higher.
