I just checked out the Pistoleer forum, and the Forum leader there has posted a link regarding howPistoleers believe dual wielding should work. Now, we already have something like this burried deep w/in our boards somewhere.

I know Minerunner cant tell us anything yet, but it seems to me that the Pistoleers are probably going to get that ability with the CR. Here's to hoping we get the same.

would be nice if they implemented it properly, however, given the track record... and the fact it is not for Jedi... and I forsee it being either horribly gimped, broken or both, or on the flipside way to unbalancing so that it is nerfed until gimped, broken or both.

Dual Wielding is not going to be introduced in the forseeable future.

Not for Fencers or Pistoleers, However if I find out differently I will be sure to let you know.

Dual wielding is not something that I feel "we" need, but I figured if there was a possibility that the Pistoleers were going to have thisskill, that we should also.

Sheathable weapons would be nice, I was grouped with a Commando, and I took note of theanimation of her switching to her....rocket luncher? whatever it was...it was pretty sweet.

dual wielding could work, and here's how I think it could work. When weaponsmiths make a weapon they have theoption to make it dual wielded (or sometimes a looted weapon could have the dual wieldable capability). Here's the way the weapon would work. The max and the min on the weapons are only half of what, say, a regular ole acklay stun baton is. That way dual wielding is only for the looks, there's no damage change as using 2 weapons at the sametime deals out only the same amount of damage as just using a 1 handed weapon. I think it could work, it would need some work still but it might work. Everyone get what I mean?

Last i checked armorsmiths dont make weapons

But seriously I think fencers should get dual wield, it would help our terrible dmg against PSGs/synthsteak/stun armor. Look at rifleman, with a krayt jawa they can hit your mind at at least 100 per hit at one second, thats if your on a 60% PSG and stun armor. When facing a player that knows what hes doing defense wise we cant even begin to hurt them. Besides, dual wields look awesome and the animations would be interesting

Hoepfully it never will, I am not a fan of duel wielding. If it was just art work, I am all for it, but to double our damage, not going to work, will be cried and nerfed and eventually ruined.

Truth be told I'm not a fan of it either, and over the past year and a half (slightly more actually), only a vocal minority actually is.

I'd much rather see pulse shields or other tech based off hand additions.

Art wise it might be a nice addition, but I'd MUCH rather have sheathable weapons and customizeable looks to weapons before dual wielding.

Post 900, yay!

How many more till Jedi master?

Duel weild as an art change can be cool, but there are alot more issues, like minerunner stated that they can concentrate on. But it really doesn't amtter, with out teh combat revamp docs, we can't really talk about this subject intellegently as we have no idea how it could fit into the "new" system.

Personally, if duel weild is included, I hope it is included as a synergy type relationship (that is master swordsman and fencer, you can combine similar weapons like the 1-h adn 2-h curved sword). Then you can offer all sorts of synergy relationships (special benefits) for mastering various combinations.
