Ack, the error page ate all my original text. So now I have to type it again. This is just me officially complaining.Oh well.

I don't know the official term but the to-hit bonus number I am talking about is the number that is next to the creature name and HAM bars. It varies from -50 to 50.

Are melee users on the same scale as ranged weapon users? The best I can get with melee is a +8, but the best with a ranged weapon is +50. Why is that?

I am not complaining that I don't hit enough, because I think majority of my swings make contact. I just want to understand the system.
