I know this has been brought up before, but I believe that this should be an option. Hell I have two swords and I think that I should be able to use them. Please petition here to get a duel sword skill on the tree. I think at master you should get:

Duel Sword Certification | Melee1Hit3

This would make Fencer fair compared to all others. I think Fencers should also get a Saber throw with a little Force ability.

Your post is fairly confusing using the word duel. I think you mean duAl.

Yes, dual means 2....I think we should get to use 2 swords also.

Really I just through the Saber throw in for a small joke since everyone wants to have some Force Abilities LOL. Just thinking that it would make Fencer pretty much the ultimate class if there was a range weapon involved since we can't deflect blaster fire or anything.

Anyways here's to a dream that will never be realized in the ability to use dual swords!

yes fencers do need duel swords since they do have a duelist title and they are far weaker compare to swordsman (damage wise) and much slower then tka's, duel swordsshould make up alot for it... not to mention all the useless round attacks that are in the fencer tree..... i still dont get it... especailly the 2 different round + blind attack that does the same thing...unlike the round attacks the swordsman gets.... their area attack 3 i believe hasround + stun + blind + lunge + dizzy + more damage..... i mean wat the heck is that.. ours dont even get stronger just more dumb blinds...... and our other skillz such as dizzy2 just a round + dizzy **edit** is that? shouldnt it at least get stronger? well at least i havent notice more dmg going on when i use it just more mobs aggro'ing me.... thats my 2 cents i hope a dev reads this..... FENCER has the most redundant skillz in the whole game........ MAKE THEM STRONGER(damage wise)PLZ!!!!!!!!!!! and plz fix the 2 round+blind attack(1handblind2 and 1handround2)

If you want to use both hands, you should try the 2H tree.

you really finished that post on a down note with that saber throw comment, but besides that i think it would be very interesting if maybe as a master fencer you would be able to use two swords..but not before master, it would be like the ultimate motivation for mastering.

I could be entirely off-base here, but I think the whole dual weapon issue might be restricted by the engine. I played Asheron's Call (1) for four years, and people were always asking for dual weapons. Turbine (the developers) wereextremely pliable when it came to player desires, but they said it just wasn't possible with the game engine.

SWG is undoubtedly more sophisticated than AC1, but I can still see a similar problem if the engine was built around single weapon combat. From a purely artistic point-of-view, they'd almost certainly have to re-animate all of the character models to incorporate pairs of weapons. Since there would probably be a variety of weapons that could be held in either hand, the amount of artwork required would explode exponentially.

Still, Iagree that it would be great fun to dual wield. We recently purchased Knights of the Old Republic, and flitting around with a pair of vibro-blades and lightsabers was great fun. I dofeel it might be a bit much to ask of SOE right now, especially when there are so many things that are well and truly broken in the game. I guess there's no harm in keeping our fingers crossed, though.

I don't think it is the engine because i believe they said at one point that when you become a Jedi you dual wield lightsabers don't quote me but i do believe they said that.

I believe what they said was Jedi can weild a dual-bladed lightsaber, similar in construction to the one carried by Darth Maul. Although it has two blades, it will most likely still function as a single weapon.
