Are there any fencers using armours atm

Or what armour would be usable by fencers, take slicing into account

Thnx ,

I wear mabari chest head and legs. 7% absorbs ar 1 less than 50 total ham for each bar.

I'm planning on checking out mabari or padded soon.

Right now I've got a full set of Chitin. Now it could just be a crappy version of it, but it has far to much emcumbrance. So, that being said, the ONLY time I use a full set of armor is when I know I'm going to be tanking and not using any special moves but taunt. (anyone noticed how the aggro system is all wacky?)

Otherwise, I just use a helmet, boots, and gloves for looks...

I have tried all the armor types available on Radiant, and so far not incredibly pleased with the results. I found that even with the best experiment 4 ubese (sliced) that it was still to big a drain on HAM. I was practically incapping myself with special moves.

I played with switching from a curved sword to a vibro blade to offset this and it ended up the same way. It just took longer because of the lower damage of the VB.

I'd love to hear how composite is coming on other servers. Radiants resources are bugged, we don't have materials for it or stun batons.

I saw a composite helmet being sold for 45k yesterdaythat had 37% across the board... Not sure on the HAM...

Right now, I have a decent suit of Chitin. I went out. Faught something with out the suit while spaming 1HMeeleHit2. Then fought the same type of creature again with the armor and not spaming my special.

I did end up with less damage. But since I was hit more often, I took more wounds and more Battle Fatigue.

I would not call amror completely useless. My suit was mid-range Chitin. So there is much better now.

i actually started using armor, and i actually prefer it. i have a hodge-podge mix of ubese and chitin (20% kinetic on all pieces) and it reduces damage by more than half with every hit i take. granted, my HAM drops, but it deflects a lot more damage than the health it drops, so i find it worthwhile.

I use armor when I'm tanking or against animals. Against humanoids, I go unarmored with my vibro blade (31-116, 3.2, 14/29/14) and use my specials to take them off their feet and keep them there. Against animals where Lunge/Dizzy doesn't particularly work well, there's a good chance I'll toss all my armor, equip my Ryyk (48-151, 3.4, 58/51/45 - Meh...), and just go Beserk.

I have found that you can use armour if you are willing to spend the cash on lots of food and drink (and lets face it, why go into a fight sober?) This can offset the penalties on a couple of attributes. The flipside is that if you didn't wear the armour, those same attributes would be significantly pumped above your starting values so its a matter of do you want defense, or super stats. (I have settled for super stats myself, though maybe at higher levels or with better armours I would rethink this)
