Thread: Disappointing replies to Correspondent Issues

This may be a little off topic for the fencer board, but this is where I hang out... and I don't think my flame suit is rated for the heat I'd pick up on a busier board...


I have to say, I'm a little disappointed with the replies that classes have gotten to their top 5 issues so far. Normally, I don't have a problem with the way the dev's do things - I realize they are incredibly busy, and that they have literally thousands of issues to juggle at a time.


But if you read over the responses that are posted so far, there seems to be 3 different answers to ALL the questions... "It should be fixed by now" (good), "It's working as intended" (not so good, but at least a real answer), or "We'll look into it" (what the *edit*?). We'll look into it? Why did it take them 3 weeks to respond to this stuff if every question that had a remotely complicated answer was going to be "We'll look into it"? And it's not like they only answered a handful of questions like this... many classes have the majority of their issues "being looked into". Just seems like if they spent THIS much time answering these issues, they should have looked into a lot of these things already...

One was from Fencer one was from Rifleman.

But they have not spent any time really answering the issues. They said themselves that they just had one of the guys go out to Austin and talk to the Devs last week. So that means that a lot of this stuff is probably brnad new to the guys actually doing the work, even though we have been looking at these issues for a number of weeks.

I would like to add this,


When dealing with customers, especially on a large scale. you want to give as little information as possible UNTIL the decisions are set in stone. So when you see a post from a dev that is generlized its because they are still looking at it or not too sure HOW to fix it.

It's not that I think the devs are doing a bad job or anything... I think they're handling most issues pretty well, especially given the volume of issues they have. I guess its just that after all the hype and waiting for the responses to these issues, I found remarkably little information in them.

I'm glad to hear some positive feedback here! I think the dev's are doing a fine job... I just think that too many whiners or young kids play this game. People with a leveler head don't come cursing on here about a game...

I do hope they put some sort of rating system on these forums... I get sick of trying to find the good posts in between the hundreds of whines and gripes. (i know that was a whine.. haha)

They have a star system, and I know I use it. Its on the bottom right corner of every post. Is that what you mean?
