What if the path to unlocking a Force Sensitive Character Slot is to simply accumulate enough Days of playing time in SWG? Note: I said days of PLAYING time. Not subscription time. So in other words if the the FS slot required 100 days playing timeyou'd need to acquire 2400 hours of time LOGGED ON in order to be awarded an FS slot.

This seems to meet the requirements set forth in the FAQ.

1) It's FAIR, all you have to do is accumulate the hours, what you did to accumulate them would have been your business.

2) It would keep Jedi rare. Think about it, even if you've been playing 18 hours a day since release it will still take you until sometime in late September or October (Assuming a requirement of 100 days whichwas arbitrarily suggested by me) to open up a FS slot. For the casual player it will probably take years of on and off again playing to manage it. This would fulfill the Devs desire to stagger the introduction of Jedi into the gaming world and it would keep them rare. Remember, they have stated that becoming a Jedi after you have a FS slot is extraordinarly difficult. Many people who open the slot will likely just play around with it for a while and then go back to their other characters due to the difficulty of the profession.

3) The devs have stated that every path to the FS slot would be different for every player. But this doesn't necessarily mean that you need to perform a ridiculous and varied set of quests to open the slot. It may simply mean that by playing the game your way and accumulating the set number of days you will have chosen a "path" through just playing the game that is totaly unique to you.

I'm not so arrogant as to think that I'm the first person to have come up with this idea and to have posted it on these boards. But in my brief browsing through the Jedi forum I didn't see this theory mentioned among all the others occupying the board.

To my mind, it seems to work. It's elegant, simple, and seems to fulfill the vision of the developers. But if you think I'm wrong (and doubtless many of you will) tell me why. I'm curious to see what discussion, if any, this thread will generate.
