Thread: How good are fencers at tanking now
How good are you at tanking now. Do you tank on your own or do you need advanced ubese to do it?
After the patch with the changes how good are you at tanking?
Thanks.
take this for an answer.
I can tank a kimo with nothing but a helmet and a power boost now.
I can tank 3 mutated rancors with the same.
Iwasn't going to say anything but there you have it.
remember though... it's not just the fencer skills that let us do what we do.

This is where I've come after the insanity of MBH.
I've also come here after the insanity of Master Bounty Hunter. Even though this is where the crons said I had to go, this is originally what I started out to do in the game from release date and I think I will stay here at fencer no matter what. I will surrender other skills in order to keep Blademaster when I achieve it and I will still be able to pursue the jedi path hopefully. I can't wait to get to the level I need to be to tank for my guild, thats going to be fun. Hopefully they don't try to store me in their datapad, LOL ![]()
Hehe! It is fun to be the tank. The guys in my guild hoot and holler when they see me going at it. I do wish they would leave the grauls in their pockets though when we hunt big stuff. I'm quite capable of handling pretty much anything in the game at this point and the grauls are just not needed. Why a person would want to waste all those stims trying to keep one of those things alive when all I need is a single heal or two and my skills and armor will do the rest, is totally beyond me. I guess it just goes to show just how much some people have come to rely on their pets, even when they are not needed, in the way, and just plain annoying.
I did get into a situation last night though. We were hunting krayts and there were none so I decided to kill giant sand beetles because they have great meat right now. Unfortunately, I quickly became surrounded by these beetles and they just kept coming faster than I could kill them. It was taking so long to kill them that the dead ones would disappear before I could harvest them and they just kept coming. Finally I bled and whittled about 2 dozen of the bastards down to little piles of mush but I missed half the harvest. CoB worked wonderfully though. Totally surround by large beetles and none of them hit me. It was great.
Can some of you post your stat migrations and stratiges? Would be helpful to those of us who have not had time to play with the profession in awhile. I know, count me a trator. I started as a Fencer but got side tracked and opened a second account and went Squad Leader there. Now I am back to playing my Fencer full time and just hoping for a little help.
Hi,
Being a Twilek, my mind stats aren't so good, so I always have to inject myself with Muon. But with it, I think I can tank 3-5 white cons (at Blade Master Level). In fact, I tanked 3 fambaa's the other day. (And I won't do it again thank you very much.) And this is without Intimidation, I only used CoB and couple stims.
Note also, we got a good attacking capability. I was helping out a novice and I found myself having to hold back because I was tearing too much of the mob with my butterknife. I stuck to blind/dizzy and sit there doing norm damage. ... Ah I feel the love of the dev's.

P.S. Oh by the way, I am a Blademaster now.
My recommendation for stat migration
Keep constitution and stamina at their lowest points.
Boost strength and quickness as high as you can.
Reason:
Const and stamina determine how fast your ham regens. HAM will never regen in battle well enough for you to not need a stim. Since it won't regen that well boost up the things that determine HAM drain. More strength and quickness = less HAM drain.
That's my recommendation.
Or just move them all until you can wear a suit of advanced composite un-buffed ![]()
