ok, the only box i have filled with green is the novice fencer box, and i have already found the fencer trainer and trained that. so now all my other fencer boxes are empty except the first ones in each columb. and there is hardly any yellow in the experience bar in all of them expept the one to the far right ( forgot what that skill is called) that is the only one that seems to be filling up when i fight. So how do i fill the other first level boxes up?

if that bar is green, you didn't train it. you're either out of skill points or didn't have enough money. you just need to train it.

i believe you are bugged

the bars on the far right are for combat xp and it comes much slower than the rest of the boxes.

if the other 3 sets of boxes are not filling up while the combat boxes continue to fill, you have a problem

type /bug and fill the report out the best you can while describing exactly what is going on. you might want to post this in the troubleshooting forum as well.

hmm. even if one was out of points, the boxes should still fill with fencing xp if you are using a 1 handed weapon.

unless Im totally missing something here

yeah if novice fencer is not trained, that would probably do it too.

this is strange

it could also be that the one on far right is combat xp and is only up because of combat xp you got before you got novice fencer... remember there is no combat xp when you are going up the brawler tree so you will have extra xp when you hit novice because of all the fighting you did before

he said the novice fencer box is filled with green. it shouldn't even have a bar if he's trained it. sometimes when you train quickly, you don't see the error message as they're very subtle. my guess is he's got the xp but clicked something wrong or something. i've done that twice myself when i was in a hurry, and jaunted off thinking i had scatter hit 2. lo and behold the first test of scatter hit 2 failed.

i feel confident that this is the answer. but i'm wrong 99.9% of the time. so the odds aren't with you, Longwookiee.

ok...thanks for all the input guys, i think the reply about haveing extra exp when i trained it so it filled up the box to the far right up more than the others is correct, because i did get alot of xp after my box was full but before i trained it. Thanks for the help....u guys rock!

Hi, I just became and learned novice fencer...so I am now starting my treck to master fencer. But for some reason only the far right skill in my skill boxes is getting experience....the other 4 arn't getting any points. What do i have to do or how do i have to fight to get experence and points in the other areas?

we need more information. what are you fighting with? are you already maxed out on one handed xp, maybe? then all the bars would be green instead of yellow. what are you fighing and how?

it's probably something simple.

the tree on the far right "Fencing Finesse" requires combat experience whereas the other 3 require one-handed weapons XP. since you have been gaining combat XP since you started your character and never spent it on anything that box would have some yellow to it. the other 3 like I said are 1-hand XP and you just used a chunk of that to train novice. as you will see those 3 boxes on the left will fill up faster cuz you get like 100 points combat for every 1000 points of one hand or 10%. Enjoy fencer it is real neat.
