hey just was reading the topic you closed and well really that was a bad idea... what we mention in there is legit and he has posted miscionceptions about our class... you dont want us to say what its really like?? come on now... we all know that once somone starts bragging about this or that people start yelling for nerfs... the guy had a combo that most people dont and even though i remember him mentioning it in the post ( original not new) it doesnt matter... over 75% of the people that would see this and start crying nerf are not fencers are not board readers and wont come to the fencer boards to find the truth. I am a master doc and a master fencer and i still know where things are and i know where we stand cause i spend the time to find out not sit here and power up and see what i can be uber about... lets get real here. We have a right to defend our class against false proclamations. What he stated was a false proclamation. If you want to avoid us defending ourselves then why even bother having a message boards i have read posts in other forum WAY worse then that and dont see them closed... why??

All im saying is you reasons are off man... we have the right to make sure the truth is out there not false proclamation.... how would you feel if you spend 5 months slowly working your profession so that you can understand its strengths and weakness properly and know the limits just to have someone sit here who is a powergamer come up and run through get master buff to max and start proclaiming that its uber??? Fencer is not uber it is strong but lacking in many things... please dont stop us from telling the truth.

First off, let me say I saw you were 1-starred... I didn't do it. I say that because I noticed I am the first to reply, so the assumption that I did it would be an easy conclusion. But I don't 1-star to show my disagreement with a post. That's just not my style. I will, however, 5-star a very helpful post. I prefer positive reinforment rather than negative reinforcement whenever possible.

Second, that post wasn't serving a productive purpose. If we are concerned about people seeing the post and using it as ammo to nerf us, then by continually replying to it and keeping it at the forefront of our forum, we are shoving in everyone face to see. By locking it and halting these "bumps", it will rapidly fall of the front page, then off the second, etc... and be history.

Snakin wasn't trying to prevent us from defending ourselves, he was trying to help keep the board focused on why it's here. In fact, by letting it slip out of site, he was actually helping us by letting usput our energy back into working out Fencer Issues, and not a flame-fest.

There are too many intelligent, knowledgeable, professional people that come to this forum (I'd list them, but the list would be too lengthy, and I'd inevitably leave someone out) working hard to keep us informed of discoveries, data, bugs, issues, ideas, etc.... to have that all take a backseat to a single person monopolizing the energy and attention of the forum for nogood reason.

I do see your point, and empathize with your desire to defend the community. It's admirable. But this community could really use your efforts in other areas more. I'mwilling to bet you have alot more to offer this community.
