Ok, I know this has been mentioned in the past--But I thought I'd do a little post.

My first complaint is this,

(Two Handed Swords)
Ok, first off. Fencer's shouldn't have the (Katana). The curved sword should be more like an Arabian style sword or something. Seccond, There is no way a Two-Handed Katana could be faster than a foil, no way in hell. I've taken both Kendo and I've been to the Jr. Oylmpics for Fencing. I know the speed difference between a Katana and a foil. How can they move a Two-Handed sword, (sometimes faster than our One-Handed swords) and get tons more damage?! I "Understand" the damage part, I mean..a Katana can make a nice clean cut on someone's backside--but the speed is ridiculous.

(New Weapons)
Fencer needs better weapons--for christ sake--our Legendary "Rantok"--sucks balls! I could get a One-Handed curved sword better than that. Stun Batton's? Daggers? I want to see a REAL fencing weapon, like a Rapier or something. We need weapons that have good damage and insane speed. Fencing is all about speed and control of that of which you have.
Take away our One-Handed Curved sword..it dosent belong there. It looks like a poor excuse; Dev's needed to throw in an extra weapon for (us) so they made the Two-Handed Katana shorted and called them both "Curved" swords.
Replace it with something better---something that has meaning and is "good" for Fencers.

I made a post (ALONG) time ago.
That stated, in the Star Wars Universe there were Fencers--Do you know what they were using for weapons? Lightfoils...Yes, A rapier with a whip/like/energy cutting tool. THAT should be our "Legendary Quest Weapon..only for Masters." ..not some lame short stubby Rantok.

(P.S: Make the Rantok longer, its about the size off................)

agreed.... using the drive shaft of a 57 chevy as my main weapon is pretty lame....

I'm all for a weapon makeover for Fencers, but a petition is not how to get it accomplished. This is an attempt to "strongarm" the Developers, and all it accomplishes is ticking them off. We are finally accomplishing some really good things with the prescribed way of communicating our needs, I'd hate to ruin it all by resorting to such close-minded techniques.

More/better weaponry is desired, I certainly agree... but compared to some other issues it is nickle and dime stuff. That's not my choice, it was this community's when we voted on the priorities of what to push for first.

If these priorities have changed, that's fine by me. I'm awaiting some improtant information back from Thunderheart now about some elements in out Top 5. Depending on what that information includes,it will be about time to hold another Vote (not petition) for the next Top 5 anyhow.

The old dog is actually beginning to learn new tricks... let's not start beating it now.
