Thread: Weapons to use... Or, a vacuum has nothing to teach me.
So, here I am attempting to become worthy of the title of Blademaster. Yet, I know nothing. I find that my best weapon is still the vibroblade that I have had forever. It eats less HAM on specials and does about as much dmg as anything other weapon on my cert list. What am I missing?
I use the Stun Baton sparingly and only when the mob has vulnerability to the baton. The curved sword is cool looking, yet, again, eats away at my HAM.
Jabba's sword is about like using the Curved.
I haveno idea about theRyyk Blade.
Am I just supposed to migrate my stats to Health heavy and pull out the noob stick?
Please, tell me that I am not missing something, tell me that it is just the way the profession bounces.
In my vacuum...
Hi,
I like my vibroblade. What's wrong with that? I might use Gaffi baton for bleeding and demolishing buildings. I might use SB for heavily armored or/and kinetic resistant vermins. However, I am most comfortable with a trusty vibroblade. I am sure hunting with a combat knife (not butterknife darn it!) is very hardcore or even sadistic, but I can keep blind/dizzy on my mob all the time while dishing out 1000-3000 damage hit at crazy speed.
This might not be true when you are a low-lvl fancer though. I remember I could barely hit 1000 with 1H-hit2.

Thanks much...
The vacuum has filled with air, I can breathe easier now.
I personally advise a curved sword, I used it from one-handed II all the way to Fencer: 1111. Now I'm using My gaderiffi alot aswell at 1211.
Your HAM is an expendable resource... I speak as a trandoshan who can afford marginally more than most species, but still, the damage and speed of the curved sword beats any other fencer weapon, it's that simple. I hit once a second (although i often seem to hit twice a second, make of that what you will), for 150-500 without berserk or specials, that alone is enough to wear down anything below yellow con. A good strategy for fighting NPC's, for example on faction missions:
Vibroblade/Curved - Blind, Bleed, Intimidate, dizzy, lunge, hammer every statechanger you can, but make sure you dizzy them first, then get them on the floor. Once they are prone or kd'd, bring out a Gaderiffi and use three One-handhit's.. at 1211 I can hit for 1-3.5k a second with the One-HandHit to a downed target.
The Vibroblade is just far too weak for me, as i've never found one faster than my sword.
Good luck.
