I was just wondering if there was a way to enhance the dmg and speed on a gaderiffi baton like krayt tissue does for ranged weapons.

no.

currently the only thing that is classified as an "enhancement" for sword typemelee weapons are rancor teeth, and the vast majority of those make the weapon worse than a standard or advanced core. yell at the dev's to fix them.

So I hear

melee weapon powerups. ask for them by name.

otherwise, no. not much out there to really help out the melee weapons. I hear there are some very high quality rancor teeth that will indeed improve the weapons but they are extremely rare.

How good are good teeth ?

Is +56 max -.5 speed any good ?

I use powerups that lowers health cost and increase max dmg. On a good gaffi it gives you about 50 dmg and lowers around 20 health per special. You can usallybuy them in crates on vendors.

In regards to melee weapon enhancements, the Rancor's tooth is GENERALLY not as good as what a master weaponsmith can make, as it replaces the sword core, instead of being an optional enhancement component (like Krayt tissues). It is possible to get higher quality teeth, just be prepared for a LOT of hunting, as these drop once in a blue moon, if that.

Also, let us not forget High powered Vibro motors, which drop off Nym npcs on Lok. This is an optional enhancement used in the creation of vibro weapons (VK, VB, LVA, VL) On average, these will add 20 damage to your weapon. There are three different types of these lootable enhancements.

1. High Powered - Damage

2. High Frequency- Wound percentage

3. ....name escapes me, but it lowers speed, like we need that on a vibro blade.

Current stats on my VB, if memory serves are: 2.6 speed, Damage ?-212 (got a 35% damage slice)
