Wow, what a journey.

I've decided that this profession is very cool however....

I totally agree with what was said in the FAQ (under the question 'should I become a fencer). This profession seems to work more for role playing than for scoring xp. Frankly, just getting to fencer makes me respect those who mastered it all the more. You deserve more accolades than I've seen given.

I'm amazed by the amount of xp required for this class. I personally believe that it should be a bit lower and ranged combat should be higher (or maybe we should just get more experience for stuff we kill with melee weapons).

Aside from that, I think that I'll probably put this aside and work on marksmanship for a time. When I started this profession set, it was a lot nastier than it was when I came back from a break. (At least, that's how it seems).

The point of my post? If anyone wants to know if Fencer is worth pursuing, I can honestly say that you'd better be dedicated and once you're in, plan on enjoying a cool looking profession rather than a high powered damage pounding profession. It's very cool but it's for a kind of player more interested in the aesthetics of combat rather than the aftermath. (Just my opinion).

i'm in full agreement. the greatest part is: once you get to master you can actually be effective. until then it's a lot of hard work and little badassness.

cinco celestiales!
