ok... no official test but i was using my new skills all day today... im still in brawler for 1h so i have 0 resists and dodge skill from it.

A. i did dodge atacks

B. my freinds took alot of tries to kd/status status effect me

just thought you all would like to know that

oh and it apears status resists cap at 80 since i have a total of 88 stun resist between my BE clothes and skill but it only displays 80

there is a bit of misinformation in this thread

pistol resists do not stack with other resists

resists that are not weapon specific stack with other resists

if a skill +mod has the same name as another it will stack regardless of how it was obtained

...................with the exception of skill bonuses given by clothing which is capped at +25 (i think its 25 if someon else knows otherwise please correct me)

an example:

this means that if you have +60 vs stun fromsuch and suchprofessions and u have a + 20 vs. stun shirt and a +8 pair of pants your total defense vs stun is still only 80 not 88 (which i think could be the case in your case)

i m not trying to be a jerk or anything just tryin' to pass along a bit of info

my inherent defense vs stun is only 40. between shirt pants and jacket another 48. this disproves your 20 or 25 but could mean the max is double your inherent... or perhaps 40. i dont think dodge resists work with 2h weapons or unarmed only with 1h. my freind is a m2h and a good amnt of fence he has never dodged holding his hamer or countered holding his stick.

sorry guese i rushed the post a bit was excited to find this out

The max effective bonus for clothes is +25 TOTAL. This has been confirmed by the BE correspondent, and has even been announced by the developers.

I'm still confused... So if I went pistoleer/fencer The resists from both of them wouldn't stack??

If I read it right in a pistoleer post, they dodge does not stack... HOWEVER, it has been my experience after getting Master Fencer that when I decided to pick up Pistoleer, I was dodging ALOT of attacks from mobs on Corellia (Imp. NPCs). I know that everyone has an inherent dodge percent, but I was dodging about 60% of the attacks without CoB and holding a pistol. My small experiment either shows that they do or that I am EXTREMELY lucky in my dodging while milking an Imp NPC spawn.

While I am not one of them, many people have confirmed on at least 10 different occassions on these boards that "1h" Dodge and "Pistol" Dodge stack.

Note, I've also heard Dodge only applies if you are holding a pistol or a 1h weapon (apart from a small native chance)

I think that pistoleer dodge doesnt stack while wielding a 1 handed melee weapon.. but if you take pistoleer.. you can use pistoleer dodge + fencer dodge ..

I was fighting pikets with my stun baton.. I hardly dodged (it didnt show the animation atleast) then I took out my republic blaster and my guy almost had like a continuous dodge animation going..

I forgot to add.. my above post may be true unless while actively attacking with a one handed weapon it doesnt play the animation

Any chance we can get an official answer on this as the subject keeps coming up as I've noticed. I would also like to know the answer before I decide to go up the pistoleer tree.

Dodge does stack with Pistoleer and Fencer. But im not quite sure about defensive mods like blind and dizzy, im pretty sure they stack though.
