Thread: Melee kiting is back

Creatures now seem to adjust range constantly. If you have them on follow you can still kill them (at a loss of accuracy of course since we don't have accuracy while moving). If you don't have them on follow, some creatures will try to melee kite you (get to a position where they can hit you and you cannot hit back) at worst or put themselves in a non-ideal range for you at best.

I like it actualy. I mean realy what creature isn't going to jump back when you hit it. adds a little bit of a chalange. I think rancors should stand back further than you can reach because they are huge and have long arms, same goes for GDK, Krayts, and whatever else is majorly huge and should have a longer reach.



Anyway thats my take.

well i think it only cretures with ranged attacks.


i killed about 6 each lairs yesterday of savage quenks and picktes.


the savag quenkers anoyingly started to constantly shift and move out of range, resulting in longer times to run them down and kill them all with my fencer. they have the now working again ranged spiting.


the pickets stayed put until they hit almost no ham then took a few steps away. so ill now only lvl with pickets (i am now 0303 fencer)


i also killed a few gurk lairs (no king hide droped in the 9 kings i killed past couple days, darn it. i never do have luck with loot lol) and they run a bit farther away before dieing, but also dont mov e around too much.

Kiting should be considered exploiting. It's challenging and fun.

We need a Monster that takes NO LESS than a full group of combatants to face. Dont care how they do it.
