completely different professions.

What do you want to do with it?

I can't remember who said this, but his comment was

"what do you enjoy more, hitting things with a big stick, or shooting things with a big stick"

I owned at Master Rifleman last night and I am only 2-2-2-3 I think the choice is obvious...

really depends on your playstyle, and it REALLY boils down to how much money you have. The loot for fencer equipment is expensive to deal the kindof damage you see people whine about, and equipment to prevent that damage is equally expenisve.

Rifleman right now is a good PvE and PvP proffesion , Fencer is good for Group PvE as you can tank for your friends, and good in PvP as well

Go for rifleman / fencer ! Its the best of both worlds - the most effective ranged proffession and the best defensive melee proffession. Both with stun damage

The previous post explained it perfectly. I would find a way to master both or at least master one and go high in the other. These two prof's allow you to be great at pvp and pve. They are two different styles that can be almost unbeatable when put together and used properly. I'm master rifleman working my way up fencer and so far it's been unbelievable.

Yes I have "owned" every combat profession in the game, including fencers... that means nothing. As a Master Rifleman, I'd have to say I felt stronger than I do now for the simple reason that I didn't rely on the commands /follow and /burstrun to survive everyday. If you don't have a Master Squad leader leading your group, burstrun is only going to get used once on a target, the next one is going to laugh at you from 30-40 m away as your HAM drifts away... or should I say just mind.

I say Fencer for the pure fact you'll be kicking butt with style.

Either way, you'll undoubtedly be labelled as an FotM player, even if you choose the profession because you identify with it or feel it balances out your template. I'm currently MRM, and I refuse to drop it (even when nerfed). It's an amazing PvP profession. I often take on fully buffed and armored Imperials wearing nothing but my basic hunting gear and a good gun. Vasarian is a necessity of course, since Rifles will most likely drain your mind as fast as your opponents without it I'm picking up fencer primarily for the defenses when I come up against another powerful profession, and to tank for guildmates on large hunts.

Dont worry, I got the tanking thing down since I'm a TKM, but both still have their upperhands and are very tempting.

TKM/Master Fencer/Master Brawler/0040 Pike. Switch between weapons depending on their armor situation, and TKM is great for PvE. Insane goodness /drool
