Does Dodge work absolutely only when you have a fencer weapon, or a pistol equipped? or does dodge function when you are holding VKs for Teras Kasi too?

A TK using VK's sometimes dodges. But how often that happens is not determined by the dodge skill mod. A TK's secondary defence is "Defensive Acuity". WhenDefensive Acuity is successful against an attack, a TK has the same chances of dodging, blocking, or counter-attacking.
