OK guys, many of you know me by now and know my relentless crusade to get TKA where they should be.
I have met some other melee profession characters as of late and i have been doin missions with them to help them get XP off high level creatures. I like to help other people when I am online and invite people I dont even know quite frequently to join me in hunting, Mainly to help them get XP. This is the main reason for me wanting to start a Guild on the Kauri server.
I realize and know that all Melee classes are hurting in the area of defense and in the area of giving damage. I realize that unlike ranged attackers we must fight toe-to-toe and therefore we will ALWAYS suffer damage not only from animals but also by the ridiculous penalties we must suffer from our hardly ever used special moves.
I would like to however take some time to talk about the Pikemen. Bless their hearts guys they are so neglected! Go look at their post section, it is so pitiful it breaks my heart.
I am seeing less and less Pikemen in this game and it sadens me to see it. I think Pikemen deserve respect and adoration for sticking it out in such a hard and neglected profession. To see one of these guys come along carrying that beautiful, sleek lance with honor does my heart good. I really would like to ask you guys for some help in researching thier profession and making some suggestions in the Pikeman post area. Please help these guys.....In our forum we all spit and dispute and argue because we all have different views about where Teras is and where we should go from here. Many of you have ripped me a new one in these posts, which is cool, but guys......everyone of the Pikeman are all...i mean alll...discouraged, deeply.
They all say the same thing and no one can relly dispute them. Please help me to do one 2 things:
1. Post suggestions for their profession in their forum.
2. If you are on the Kauri server Please help me get the money to start a Guild for ALL melee professions. I know I wanted to have a Teras Guild just for Teras but now I dont know abou that anymore. I want to help people in this game that are stuggling and that means all Melee professions!

I'm sure most fencers really feel for the Pikeman. They're plagued by their share of class specific issues... Those accuracy penalties on their vibro weapons for instance are abominable and WAY out of line with what they should be. Trouble is though, a lot of fencers feel we're just as bad off in our own way as the pikemen. For instance, while we may havemore accurate weapons our damage output is the WORST of any melee class and we really get nothing to show for that discrepancy.
But you didn't post here to be told "kiss off we're in the same boat they are". You're asking us to lend our pikeman cousins a hand in getting their issues addressed. That's laudable and worthy of our consideration. I for one will go over to the Pikeman boards when I have the time and browse through their lists of issues. I don't know what I can contribute to the cause, but if I see a reasonable petition I'll /sign it.
Here's hoping BOTH the red headed stepchildren of melee (and melee in general) get a good buffing by the devs.
