Thread: New fencer, Checked the FAQ but did not work need help with PVP
Other than always using center of being not sure what you need to know other than practice practice practice.
What you do will depend on what/who you are attacking, and what else you have in your skill trees. With range attackers you may wantto set to follow target. If the range attacker is actually hitting you (getting through your defenses) then break line of site and circle your way in close.If a combat medic is attacking, pray a friendly doctor can intercede on your behalf, and close everytime they pause to throw something on you (by jumping on a bike, pet, burst running). If it is a melee profession, use intimidate as soon as it will stick, it will lower their defenses. Also blind, dizzy, posture change, and anything else you can do to them. State effects make or break a situation when too highly defensive players fight. Whish dmg hit you use will also depend on what you are attacking, look at the lowest HAM and try to hit that, I like scatter hit 2 and body hit 3. Others like One-handed Hit 3. Always use 80% armor, be fully buffed by a doctor, eat good food and drinkgood drinks. Keep some Pikies and Moun for a boost in midstream combat if needed. And if things aren't going well. Get out of there.
