Amusing tactics they seem to have. First off, if the Swordsman is master brawler, andhe knows what he's doing, he launches a lunge 2 and warcry 2 the first chance he gets.. oncethe fencer ison the groundthe swordsman caneliminate his dodge by using intimidate once or twice. After that put a bleed on them. Blademasters can't even touch me.

Im thinking of changing, to try something new, however: How is fencer against NPC's? Ima loot hunter...do you guys think I should just stick with swordsman?

With the new Scythe blade out now, Swords got some love, but with a rare situation or two, TKM will be better then swords or fencer in a 1v1 setting.
No other fighting profession can toe-to-toe 15+ mobs like a fencer. If you say you can, and survive, your wrong (Defense stackers, your the exception, but your getting nerfed soon, so no worries=D)

well for a swordmen he's trying to kill your mind hands down before anything. as a fencer your tryin to stop him from killing your mind.
as fencer
1 Blind him, makeing it almost impossible to mind hit you.
2 imtimadate him, cuts attack down. /2 if your tk'er stunn attack him also
3 POUND him into the ground.......
if your a swordmen. then your best bet is too hope you hit him with all your mind hits. Never seen a swordmen try to Duke it out with his other skills other then spamm mind hit 3

example: if you go to the geo labs as a swordsman youll kick the kwi faster then a fencer, as most looters are soloists id stay swordsman for now. simply because youll get further in the labs. Fencers spin attack against 10 geonosians does work wonders though, so if your in the entrance way, the fencer rules.

If you are hunting loot, I cannot really see the point in changing to another brawler profession. Swordsman rocks the NCP world.

Why not get both? You would have amazing defenses, and amazing offensive ability (three damage types) and with a little macro work (like a macro to switch from Power Hammer to Gaffi Stick and use CoB while you charged at a mob, then switched back to Power Hammer, or maybe even keep the Gaffi Stick out,when you got to them) you could become an incredible power-house.
Then again, if you are a loot-hunter, you may find that a buffed Fencer/Master Brawler can clear caves like the Janta Cave, very quickly.

Either is fair game, all depends on what else you have with it. Master doctor and any combat profession is great for soloers, any melee with there corresponding range is good. Defense wise don't worry about the dodge/counter attack/block. They will cap at 125. But melee defense and range defense have no cap (yet).Choose the profession you will have fun with, personally I love the fencer because of the speed and defences. The dmg for fencer is decent too. With a good normal gaffi stick, you can do 1400 dmg with body hit 3 (at least I do), but fencers only have 1 armor piercing weapon at AR1 (a vibroblade, ~45-120 dmg). Swordsman have heavier hitting weapons (but slower until you hit the speed cap) and AR2. So Like dishing out lots of dmg, go swordsman with appropriate backup professions/skills. Like speed and defensive combat go fencer again with appropriate backup professions/skills. Either way, use center of being, best tool a melee profession has (and use intimidate on other melee people, kills there center of being).
