No offense, but I never think of unarmed/melee when I think of star wars (except for lightsabers of course) In a sci-fi world of star ships and blasters, fists and swords just don't seem to fit in my mind. I was not jumping for joy when my first holo said fencer. I loved KotoR, but the swords were one of the few things about it that I didn't like.

I'm been playing 3 weeks, I'm a master marksman, artisan 4/4/4/4, pistoleer 0/0/1/0, and I have some medic and scout. I honestly didin't plan on following the holo trail because I know the jedi system is going to be changed anyway. However, I've been making a large sum of money in the resource business, and today my curiosity got the better of me. So here I am, trying to master fencer in the hopes that the devs will be true to thier word and there will be some advantage for me when the new jedi system is implemented.

Right now, I have the 3rd box of the brawler tree that's a prereq for fencer. I wear a full suit of composite armor (like I said, the resource business has been good to me) and I've been using a lot of spice (mostly Neutrino Pixie). I'd like to know when and where I should go and what should I fight to get master ASAP. How strong should I be before I go to Dat or LoK and what should I fight until I get strong enough get Novice fencer? I got a lot of my marksman/pistoleer on yavin but I'd rather not melee with poisonous DBing badies.

I like Fort Tusken for grinding the combat professions.

Quenker missions on dant until your accuracy and damage is up a bit, then just live at fort tuskan. Quenkers are a touch faster than FT on average, but FT is a LOT more fun and provides the possibility of good loot. I've gotten crystals, dot weapons, skill tapes, etc, from tuskans.

I've recently got Fencer as a holo as well and have enjoyed it thus far. Unfortunately I had to drop all of my pisoleer skills for my first holo, I'm a little weaker now, but have gotten to one-handed 4 with very little troubles...just a few incaps or deaths because of stupidity on my part.

I'm currently a 0/4/3/3 right now and I've been doing the Mynocks od Lok. A pet or doctor is a must tho be cause they disease. Also, the sulfur pool mynocks have no kinetic resist and no armor so they go down real quick. I get from 3-4k onehanded per mynock depending on what type.

Thanks for all the advice. I've been doing a good job of following to I think. I've got a full suit of 71% kinetic ubese and im using a speed sliced curved sword. I have a stun batton and gaffe stick for use when I get footwork 3. I managed to solo savage quenkers on dant today, though I had to use neutron pixie. Right now I'm fencer 0/1/0/1. This isn't as bas as I thought it was going to be, I'm enjoying it even. It's just sad that the fencer profession is fine while there are so many broken specials and abilities in the pistoleer tree.

I didn't master brawler, but I still have a lot of specials. What are the good ones? Which ones are the best and why?

atm I'm 0/2/2/3 on fencer and have almost got flame 4, just wondering if it would be easier for meto grind there

i have heard from many people i know that thw "quests" will be put in some where around the 20th...on each quest there is a piece of something that you will need, for each holo you master i think you will get a piece of it...not 100% sure...but pretty sure

change the "i know" to "i think" and "thw" to "the"
