Thread: Fencer success in PVP?
Any fencers out there that played in Beta or even anyone who has done any PVP. Have you had any success with your fencer in PVP. Have you gotten kills? Or put up close fights? I know that smart players can do well with just about any characters I am just wondering how you feel you have done overall?

Currently 3 and 0 in Honor Duels, hundreds of PVP kills in Beta, and several PVP Kills in live.
Yes, it's all about useing distraction to gain the upper hand. Other players, Pets, buildings etc etc etc... Then there is the one move no one else gets a combo of as early as we do, One hand Dizzy, One hand Lunge.
You will watch your oponants kneel then get to their feet and fall on their backs. Remember to act in honor and kill them swiftly, dishonrable action may allow them time to get up and laugh over your corpse.
In large battles use other people to draw atention away from you. Order the attack, and then give it a split second while your mates engage the enemy, then flank around the side and one by one bleed attack your opponants as you run past them. Don't stop to fight one enemy jsut do your attack and move on to the next. The bleeding you will cause will give the upper hand in any largescale battle.
I was defending the north Anchorhead hill with about 100 other members of the aliance. 100+ rebels 300 or more support troops called up from the Recruiter, and dozens or more monster pets.
We stood on the hillside in line waiting for the arrival of the ATST's and Divisions of StormTroopers we got wind of attacking us from a spy from Bestine.
Sure enough clanking from the Northwest came the dozen ATST's and over 400 Stormtroopers. (players and their ST pets.)
The plan was simple hold the hill and allow time for the citizens of Anchorhead to enter the bunkers.
Our side held fire and did not advance till the ST's reached the base of the hill. Then they concentrated their fire on the ST commanders. I ordered my squad to distract the left portion of the ST line while I breathed in and out one moment.
Then I charged around down the hill and into the flank of the Imperial line, every time I reached a target I would cut them open and move on to the next one, one slice each, if I missed I continued on... About half way down the line I fell incapacitated due to blaster fire from some of the Storm Trooper commanders...
But the end result was amazing. Each one of the people I sliced open was taken down with ease from the Rebels on the hillside. and within a minute the remaining ATST's and ST's were completely disoriented having no commander to order them to fire.
They were picked off like flies after that and Anchorhead was safe for the time being.
In the end what this shows is that we can go toe to toe with any one person if we are close to them, and we can use tactics and skill to turn the tide of a battle that seems insurmountable.

Now while we can go toe to toe, thats only useing our brain. We are still at a major damage/speed disavantage due to weapon limitations.

In PvP as in me being overt and getting attacked, I havent done too well, in fact ive lost them all. I have good reasons though. I don't go overt much but heres what happened:
1st- Was covert healed a incap overt imp, and got a TEF. I was only novice fencer at the time and in came a blademaster and killed me almost instant.![]()
2nd- Still not a blademaster but more skills than first time. I went in a big group to raid a rebel city. I ended up with just me and another group member and a rancor. He walked on to a mine field and died. Then 1 blademaster and 1 TKM kicked the crap out of me.![]()
3rd- Went overt to give a friend some fps. Blademaster at this point with buffs, nothing done to mind. Got attacked by a TKM, 2 Handed master and a carbineer. Couldnt find my brandy so went down pretty fast.![]()
So I guess the thing that got me every time was being suprised and not ready for combat, and being out matched.
In duels though I do well, theres only one player whos beaten me more than I've beaten him. But I along with another blademaster was the only person who had ever beaten him, and won 100K off of him. I wasnt wearing armor, he had 80%kin, my stun is crap so I didnt bother with that, and he attacked mind so i couldnt heal. I beat him once and he beat me about 4 times. Other than that though I normally win duels, and seen as I've just mastered doc tonight, I should be even better.
I'm also gonna get myself some nice armor when I have a bit of money together.![]()
Server: Shadowfire
I pvp, all the time on shadowfire. I always have been in a a small skermish or big group battles every day when I am playing. Usaly, I win most of the fights but I do loose my fair share. In all depending on how you play, what your tactics are, how your equiped an what you eat does help every bit. It all boils down to, how well you play your class an how well you know how to use your class. In a sesne play smart, an you will usaly come on top, if your out gunned an numbered an don't stand a chase a best battle is a running battle which most of mine have been. Usaly a few will chase you leaving the majority to let you go, thus easier to kill your oppenents. Works all the time, they see melee easy kill but when you double back on them when they realise they got no support thier pretty much dead.
A time in AH, fully buffed when i pressed TAB a few times and noticed 8-10 REbels in the small cantina all huddled together in a group with a Master Dancer. I could only think they were getting a buff.
Hit CoB, in i go with my Ackley stun 1handspin attack 2, they were ALL incapped in about 10 seconds, it was so awesome, people were going crazy

with tkm, blademaster, heavy swords master... I win ALL melee duels, EXCEPT vs a mon cal fencer/doctor with good strategy. if I had master medic that would be game.
Hehe, I'm a mon cal fencer/doc (both masters). I havnt had any duels yet as a doc, but as I say, I normally win duels, just not when im overt and am suprised attacked.
