Thread: Fencer, should I take it?

Well I decided to re-roll my toon, so now I have a completely blank template. Before it was TKM/Swords/doc 0004 which I loved. I want to try something different though, so I was thinking something around TKM/Fencer/Doc 0004. TKM would be my main defense, and fencer would be the damage dealer. Would this work as well as swords did?

i don't understand why people delete and start over. all those old combat skills are great and will help you on your way to new skills. i know this isn't pre-cu, but in pre-cu, after I became a TKM, it allowed me to easily pick up any other combat profession because i was a tank even when i couldn't do any offense.
in the post-cu, having other professions increases your combat level = increased xp gain at the beginning = you can use better weapons faster. i think it's a waste of time to start over unless it's on a whole new server.

Lol pre-cu you didn't need to be a master to tank, just good buffs and some nice comp armor lol...
Fencer is a great profession, if you liked tkm/swords/doc, then tkm/fencer/doc will work for you... you'll just have to adjust your style of play a little... Probably would have been better off not starting from a blank template seeing as how your old one was similar, but then again I can't talk.. I'm guilty of deleting my toon... feels great to have a fresh start doesn't it? Of course now I have several friends that have threatened to beat me if I start a new toon so I'm out of luck =P

re-rolling is not the best idea cause then you dont get your chance for ADK.
for pvp, i would mix fencer and swords. but if you arent pvp heavy i like that fencer/tk temp

I LOVE fencer, The moves are sweet, and how many fencers do you see at a pvp fight opposed to swordsman?? I see very few, which makes us fencers great. If you liked Swordsman you'll like fencer, takes a bit to adjust to the change, but in my opinion its worth it. I had Mswords/4004 doc/tk 0104/mbrawler a good temp, but I got bored of it quick, I havent gotten bored of fencer and dont think I ever will.
