Yer, handshields like bucklers or something, I am aware of PSGs 
Anyways, they could come in forms like ubese/comp, one being a solid shield, very strong to kinetic but vulnerable to all other types save blast, and the energy shield that could be strong vs projectiles but mutilated by any melee.
This is just an idea I thought up of the other day.

I think it would be cool if shields came out around the same time with the dual wield.
One would offer an increase in damage while the other would supply more defense making it a preference thing....I just think it would be cool.

This is just an idea I thought up of the other day.
Or how about energy shields like the ones the gungans used in Episode One? Make it like block 75% of laser attacks but take away dodge while it is equiped, it should also only block energy damage. Other shields could work like PSG's but with alot higher condition and could block kinetic damage.
