Fencer Archive

Ive noticed fencer to be a profession where most of us have been dedicated to this profession for a very longtime. I have been a fencer since september of last year, and a onehander since august. I know for a fact I will never drop it, and i see the same attitude on this board.

However, on our respective servers, there are clouds of fencers who use our proff just trying to be the next "uber" thing. We also have many ppl who once they see something new and excited will exhaust it to the point where it is no longer fun. A new weapon comes out, hoards of ppl go to find it.

Since we has discovered the mace, this board has gone nuts trying to find it. THat doesnt bother me since we all are on different servers.

But i fear this new weapon, no matter if it sucks or has some AP or something, will be exhausted to the point where it is no longer special.

What i am "proposing"(for lack of a better word) is that all of us here be somewhat careful approaching this weapon. Granted, no one has gotten it yet, but when someone does ppl tend to try as hard as possible to go get it. I consider myself a veteran fencer, and i dont want some Joeshamasho Fencerforkillingjedi to have something i have longed for and he has not. Therefore on my server i dont tell anyone about the mace, except for close friends.

Im not asking all of u to join a cult of secrecy, just to be shrewd and cautious for the sake of veteran fencers. I plan to be the first fencer on Valcyn to have it, granted it is based on luck if i get it or not.

When BH armor first came out, my friend was trying as hard as possible to keep it secret. I plan to do the same here.

On a different note: bring on the whips.
