Thread: Noob question about weapons.

Hey, guys and gals.
I've been playing SWG for a while, but I'm new to Fencer and had some questions about weapons. I've seen people walking around with some odd looking weapons that look like they're one handed, but I can't find them in the skill tree.
The first is a strange curved blade that looks like something the Klingons fromStar Trek would use (not a Ryyk blade). The second is a large straight sword that, if anyone's familiar with the Legend of Zelda video games, looks like Link's Master Sword.
If anyone can give me some info on these and where I can get them on InfinityI'd be very grateful (especially on the curved one).

I believe that you are talking about the Scythe and the 2-handed Sword. Both of those are Swordsman weapons.

There's a 1h sword of jabba the hut that yuo can take with you from the jabba themepark missions. It resembles the Legend of zelda appearance somewhat, though it has some jagged ridges on it too.

It sucks that the Stats are craptastic compared to my Ryyk. I dont remember what the exact stats on the Rantok Sword were but they werent very good when you consider that my Ryyk is 1.7 speed and 150 damage.

Funny you should mention the Rantok, as I did just that. A friend and I looted 12 of them, and we're planning to get more when we've sold the original batch. Got them sliced with the best one going from 150 to 183 dmg. I know a good 40% slice would get it to about the 200 dmg mark, but our guildslicer was working with less than perfect tools.
It's a shame that our 'top' weapon only does 150 dmg as standard. If I can grab a few and get them max sliced I might keep one but, for now, I'm sticking with my 2.7/188dmg curved sword.

dont worry, the max slice possible is only 35% and the tools a slicer uses have no bearing on the final slice
