Thread: Hello, new fencer here
Hello,
New to SWG fencing , hope to read some good posts and keep up on changes to the class.
I must say, looks like some problems exist with melee, but you all make it sound like the end of the world and a few gnorts are able to take down master Fencers.
I'm a master pistoleer, novice doctor, novice fencer (only first skill box trained) wearing so so ubeese armor (30-35% kinetic) i can kill mountain squills with 3 to 4 heals solo. since the kd/ps nerfs prior to taking up fencing the same npc would kill me flat out as warning/threaten is a risky thing using just my pistoleer skills.
Now i may be skewed or wrong here, but takng on yellow con mobs (to a master combat prof) seems ok, now are you sugesting i or you should be able to do this (or other npcs of about the same difficulty) with only your fencing skills and no support skills i.e medic ect.
also a sword question, seems many smiths dont bother making good quality 1 hand swords, anyone know a good swordmaker on Eclipse? the best ive found so far is sliced curved blade 37-167 1.6 speed. seems odd i get my best weapon in the 1st box of brawler 1 hand.

I lucked out too and got a great sliced curved sword right when I started fencer.
I think you are coming into fencer at a great time cause we are due for some multi-orgazzing luvving.
3-4 heals that are how big? healing yourself for 2000-3000 a fight can really help

Isn't it odd? kinda like the Laser Carbine is the best at the moment for Carbineers...lol!
I'm on Eclipse as well, the "best priced" imho1h curvedsword vendor I've found is Kanae near Doaba, Corelia. She offers them for around 10k and responds to emails if you find her low on inventory - base stats were something like 37-171, 2.5 spd, 40/50/30 approx. HAM...you might also consider Panic near Bestine who offers a low damage but really low HAM Vibroblade...Sredna on Corelia also sells good 1h curved swords at least a few more points to damage than Kanae but easily double the price.

There are other one-hand sword makers on eclipse worth visiting as well. On Tatooine, Dominous makes excelled curved swords and vibroblades. He has a shop near Anchorhead and his swords are on a vendor at the "intergalactic mall" near Mos Espa (I think). Animal makes good but expensive weapons. He is near Mos Entha (I probably butchered that spelling). Illian used to makesuperbcurved swordsbut I believe he (or she) is gone, because the shop no longer exists. Ling on Corellia makes good weapons but at prices higher than Srednas. Remirez near Moenia on Naboo makes good weapons at reasonable prices. He used to have a vendor at his home but his weapons are now on a vendor maintained by the Shadowknights PA. There is another weapon maker near Moenia but the name is eluding me right now. Gizmo used to make good melee weapons but disappeared for a while. I understand he is starting up again. I have found sredna very responsive to requests to produce the kind of swords that you want, and I for one am happy to pay more for exactly what I want. I think Sredna is on vacation til the end of the month. I have also bought from Kanae.I never tried Panic's store, but will definitely check out the low HAM vibroblade since I use one so often. I can provide waypoints to most of the store I have mentionedif you email me in game.
