Thread: Bleed & Armor :)

Greetings fellow fencers!

I have a couple of questions concerningbleed andthe using of armor in combat. (For me it's mostly PvE)

I just recentlygot novice fencer so I have little real experiencewith the profession. But I do know one thing - I haven't had this much fun in months! Since I started down this road I hardly ever play with my TKM - fencing is indeed the epitome of grace and elegance!

And now for the questions!

Healthhit1 - does it stack? Does it make a difference whether I land one bleed on a mob or five consecutive ones?

Since I don't have healthhit2 I can't speak for that now but I know that someone on this forum wrote that he/she used healthhit2 in conjunction with healthhit1. The conclusion I drew after reading his/her post was that the healthhits themselves do not stack when spammed, however when used in conjunction with eachother - they do.

Healthhit1+Healthhit1 = One bleed

Healthhit2+Healthhit1 = Double bleeds?

(Am I making any sense?)

And now for my second itch that desperately needs some scratching!

Armor. The one thing I never have to use with my TKM, but what seems to be a necessity when trying to endure the hazardous environments of SWG whenwielding a vibroblade.

What do you people use? (If any)

I've heard composite mentioned several times but then again I heard that advanced chitin is much better because of the lesser encumberances found on chitin. My experience with armor is extremely limited since I've never had a reason to employ it before.

Your input would be invaluable to me!

Regards

Chris

If you smack something with healthhit1 multiple times, the the highest strengh one will supersede all the others. But they don't stack, so make sure to switch to normal attacks.

Healthhit2 and 1 will stack with each other.

For "hunting" armor vs. animals, you may want to consider chitin or ubese, both of which can have very good kinetic protection (which is all animals do anyway)

That sounds kind of weird to me, since boots, gloves, andbracers are among the lesser likely placed to be hit, while the chest and legs are more likely to be hit. And ubese jackest cover the upper arms too.

I appreciate the input, and now I know what to go for - armorwise!

I agree that it sounds odd, right now i have a padded left bracer, ubese chest and boots but during battle i mostly see that the boots and bracer are absorbing all the blows and have not yet accepted the fact that i need to let go all the money i poured into the chest armor and just get rid of it to reduce the HAM costs since it's not really helping me in battle.

I've been trying to come up with the perfect armor solution and have not found it yet, butI think i'm on the right track and have been using this mantra "less is more" when it comes to fencing. Now running away on the other hand is a different story...

For creature hunting get Ubese made by a smith that knows what they're doing. I have a complete set that has 70% kinetic resist at reasonable HAM costs.

Its not uncommon to see the following message:

A whatevercreature hits you for 216 dmg

Your Ubese right bracer prevents 180 points of dmg.

It rocks.

Just a quick mentionon the armor.

I personally have found using ubese boots, gloves and arm pieces with regular clothing that has upgrades is the best for me.
