Thread: What's the difference?

I have a player named Pazen Koros on Naritus, a 0/0/2/1 BH, 0/0/3/0 Pistoleer with some other stuff mixed in. I started him because BH seemed like it would be fun and difficult enough to attain that not many ppl would have it. Obviously I was wrong, and I've kinda lost the fire that kept meplaying that character after seeing everyone else with the title Novice Bounty Hunter or some variation thereof.

Then I started a character named Argosian on Kettemoor and started playing as a fencer because it seemed like a really underappreciated class, and it's going well enough so far.

My question is this: Is there any difference between playing a character that everyone else has because it's popular and playing something nobody has just because it's rare? Seems like two sides of the same coin to me. Are we all just black sheep baying at the white sheep?

you're absolutely right. i'm a fencer partly because they're rare. i may stick my tongue out at the dime-a-dozen bounty hunters, but some of my good friends online are bounty hunters. and fencers may be that way some day.

and just so you know, i'm on Kettemoor, and about 2 days away from master. i also keep about 20 swords that i got poor slices on, or got great speed slices. definitely look me up as i can train you and give you a bit of equipment to keep your costs down.

as a word of warning: the first part of the road to fencer is very very slow and somewhat tedious. once you get higher up, though, it's very rewarding. Rro and Kali and i (i think those are the main three) are major advocates of that fact. we need work, but with strategy, we really can kick ass.

best wishes to you, and i hope to meet you soon!
