Our maximum ranges depend almost entirely on the level of the terrain we are fighting on.

On perfectly flat terrain I was able to hit with my butter knife from 6 meters out, possibly as far as 8 (I'm not sure whether it was 6 or 8, sorry!).

On really angled terrain, I cant hit from further than 4 meters out while holding the butter knife.

The gaffi stick I can usually hit from 5 to 6 meters out on bumpy terrain. On flat terrain I can consistently hit from 8 meters out.

This is only really effective when being in a group with a pet out or letting someone else tank. If you stay at your max range, whatever creature you are fighting will rarely target you. This means you rarely die. Which is good.

I do find the animations odd though, at 8 meters out, my animation is nowhere near being close enough to actually land a hit on the target. But I dont mind that much.

Those are the only two weapons I use anymore, so if anyone else wants to test this out with the other weapons, feel free.
