I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but it's worked for me many times. If you want to duel someone, be sure they haven't seen your sword, and have a rifle out, (I'm a rifleman as well but that doesn't matter. You can still do this if you aren't one).

If they know anything about rifles, they will start the fight up close because of a rifle's severe penalties at point blank range. As soon as they start shooting at you from a few meters away. Burst run towards them and whip out your sword, then dizzy+lunge them before they even know what hit 'em.

Like I said, some people are too smart for this tactic, but it's worth a shot.

Also, if youre running at someone, at least pull out a gun for christ sakes guys.. not only can you shoot back, albeit with probably less skill, people are less likely to run from someone shooting while rushing

Like all good ideas why didnt i think of it first. Actually been using a carbine in pvp battles for a trick similar to this and has worked pretty well. Of course to use it most effectively might want to change your title to novice marksmen and get some knockdown defense so you dont get pistoled whiped. Still all the same brillant tactic man.

I was going to duel this meathead the other night but I noticed he was a pistoleer KD = very bad IF only I had a few lvls of KD defense....ggrrr.

I will never resort to such things to win a fight...but I can see why somewould seeing as howwe cant possibly win a PvP fight because of a development issues. I suppose its more of and RP thing, Im jut bitter that Im not allowed to face someone man to man and stand a chance.

Heh..by any means necessary, thats what I say. I personally like to use auto follow..then when the bastards try and gain distance-im right along w/ them..then I hit speed burst..BIFF..BAM...BOOOM it's ova.
