I'm a Human fencer, but here's my current setup and rational.

Health: 900
Strength: 500
Con: 400

Action: 900
Quickness: 500
Stamina: 400

Mind: 700
Focus: 500
Willpower: 600

500 in all my 'usage' stats keeps the cost low on specials.
400 in Con and Stamina are ok, since I can always just use Stim packs to heal Health and Action.
600 Willpower is soooooo **edit** nice. You can't heal Mind damage in combat, so keeping Focus and Willpower high is a must imho.

I frequently group with a combat medic, and my stats reflect this. I'm mostly concerned with HAM costs on specials and keeping my Mind full. Unless I'm taking massive damage to Mind, the 600 regen keeps my Mind pool maxed during even long fights.

Going along with what Fury suggests...

MY take on it is that stats might also depend on the type of weapon you use and the special attacks...in my case I rely heavily on a decent Cruved sword, of which is Action pool intensive for special attacks so I've since then bumped my Action pool and decreased my Health/mindpools to compensate...that's just my take on it, though this thread is a really good, I hope everyone adds more to it...

to elaborate more.

im a fencer / doctor

so i put my stats less into HP more into action and the most into Mind regen. none into HP and Action Regen, and max out the remaining on action cost and mind cost

Sulayman,

I was quoting the stats from memory, but I still think they are correct. -64 seems like a mighty odd number to be off by - all the stats come out nice and round. Maybe you have wounds, or need to eat some food to unbug stats?

At any rate, I'll double check when I get off work.

TLALOC

how did you get those stats?

i'm a human fencer, too, and when i tried to emulate your stats, i got

900
500
400

900
500
400

700
500
536

so i'm about 64 points lower than you. but i thought all humans have the same point pools.

As a rifleman, I would seriously suggest that you never have less than 800 points in your mind pool unless you wear a really nice helmet. I can easily hit for 800+ through chitin helmets with expert headshot, and that's not a very high rifleman skill at all.

Just a thought...
