I was trolling through the old posts and saw a few posts about the Rantok. It's a quest item sword that doesn't completely suck and would be a pretty descent collectors item. You get it during one of the last few quests for Jabba the Hutt, but the mission is to retrieve it for Jabba, not as a reward.

Lies when i got it the stats blew arse even sliced. my curved has better stats than the rantok does..though the rantok has a bit more on the wound side..probably cause its a higher level weapon. either way yea i got it for the collectors item.

I like the appearance of it, still don't get why weaponsmiths can't make em, stat wise they aren't the greatest in the world.

Again the thought is that the weapon availible from that quest is a relic of an ancient time...

Though the description doesn't state it is unique... it could easilly be turned into a craftable sword by making them...

Yeah, I have one that is sliced, and my ryyk blade is definately superior. I think the ryyk is the best fencer weapon in the game, however the gafferdi baton is probably right up there, I havent used one yet. I like my 1.8 attack speed!

my vibroblade is better than rantoks. If it were a1, which it should be, then itd be worth something..

you have got to be kidding me LeadHead... my unsliced Ryyk sword has almost double your speed.

here it the thing, Rantok sword is not the greatest, gaderaffi (also known as gaffi) are decent less HAM cost but also lower damage and speed, if you are going to use a stunbaton take another weapon with you some things in the game (lairs and anythingwith armor) are not effected by the baton.

Normally i would swear by the Ryyk sword, it is a wookie weapon that every race can use, only the HAM is very high that is the only problem. my sword has a speed 2.8 with 96 min damage 223 max and HAM is 50, 45, 40.

Shows you how much I know about fenceing. LOL I thought the lower the number the better. I thought it meant that you attack every 1.8 seconds

I've had a Rantok in my house as a decoration for a long time. Last night I earned the ability to slice weapons and just for the heck if it, I sliced it. Got it up to like 56 - 180 and hung it back on the wall. heh!

lead head is correct the lower the number the better it is. Secondly ryyks stink because of HAM/ speed cap. Vibro blade/ gaffi batons easily out do them.

Hmm mabee you have a point cause it cost me like 80 something points to do most of my specials which I spam out the a$$! I am a wookie with 1000 ham so I have a good amount of points in secondaries, but I have noticed that the specials take the same amount of time to execute which is longer than1.8 secondsso I guess mabee I shouldnt be so focused on attack speed.

What do you guys think? Is it better if you spam your special attacks to have a blade that is sliced more for ham and damage? Right now I am a 2/1/0/1, my with my ryyk blade I can barely beat one storm trooper with 8000 health...Is that good, or should I be doing better with a better sword.

if you spam specials you need to A get a HAM friendly weapon , B get buffs to even out the effects. As a human about your same level i could spam body hits fornear half that cost with a vibroblade. Add to that i had a lower strength value and it means alot. Stamina is an important tactic fencer need to know. I cant stress how important it is. I would suggust geting a vibroblade and trying it out. You may like it you may not. Try the gaffi too. Also if you choose use the gaffi or ryyk get some tat sunburns. It will pretty much solve the ham problems.

oh yea....i remember have two of these, heh, not completing jaba's mission and then storing it in my bank. But anyways, a ryyk blade or a vibro is much better.
