Hello fellow fencers first off i am not saying i am regretful of the long awaited buff up we have deserved but more of the result of it.
I have been a BladeMaster since late June i have NEVER thought of dropping it even through the holocron madness i have masterd 11 other proffesians 4 holocrons and still worked my way around to always keep BladeMaster or train it back within 1 or 2 hours of mastering Hybrids such as CM .
What i have seen on the Sunrunner server is a simple evolution of Fencer becoming less of a small group of people that learned to make it work 2 shot TKAs and solo NS elders be overshadowed by a new group of IM THE BEST I HAVE SCATTER HIT 2! fencers that have no respect for a proffesian that pre buff up took a large amount of skill to be good in tournys.
Fencer is like anything else i suppose it will be over used people will drop it and i will still be one of the first and certainly the last Remember Commando? we dont see alot of those anymore. this may sound extremly stupid but its how i feel and i just wanted to input from other BladeMasters that have seen the same change as me

yes, i'm forlorn that people didn't like before we were effective. but what can we expect? not everyone is a die-hard like us. that's ok. i've also been accused of being one of the new fencers when people see me doing neat things. i can't say i've ever really set them straight, because to a certain point, i don't care if they think i'm a bandwagoner or a venerable master. i just like the profession. i know how to use it, i know how to play it, and i can make it effective.

i've taken down my blademaster title, now. it used to garner me an advantage. now everyone knows what a fencer can do, so i'm having to branch out to keep people guessing. many people still come to me for training and the free weapons that i give out. fortunately, i'm able to now at least hide what i am when i see a new fencer. and yes, i quiz them. when i met a twi'lek, i led her on for a good 45 minutes before finally telling her i was a blademaster myself; it was actually fun to rp that out. so the new influx has added some roleplay ability i didn't have before: the secretive master who is disdainful of the fashionables learning to fence because it's en vogue.

so essentially, i don't mind it much. seasons come and go, but the sun still rises each morning.

I guess its like MTV over playing punk rock you have the AntiFlags BlackFlags Old School Misfits AKA the oldschool blademasters than the NOFX Good Charlotes and bands like that

I have seen an increase in Fencers, and it doesn't bother me that much. Once Fencers become as bandwagoned as TKA, then I will be worried.

it might happen. is anyone really going to give up fencing just because it's popular?

i may justget pistoleer spam COB and say screw it Ive never been a large solo killer but a support specailist i was a master Squad Leader fencer for some time and it was fun but it may be time to show everyone what a pistoleer fencer can do with a 1300 damage Legendary Gaffi and 79% base 80% kinetic pre nerf BE armor with melee defense and lowerd Krayt Encumb can do remember boys and girls i was blademaster way back when i got ALOOOOOOOOOOT! of treats ive been saveing for adark day and it isnt looking to light right about now

I don't think fencer will ever be as popular as TKA (or Commando) because dabbling in fencer just doesn't have the same advantages as dabbling in TKA. The TKA Meditate and Precision trees offer useful skills for any melee or ranged character - fencer has nothing comparable. COB is fencer only, dodge only stacks with pistoleers and our melee/ranged defense mods don't compare with what you can getfrom TKA. Only our defense vs. ???? mods might be appealing todabblers.

There are legendary weapons that can drop off high level NPC's. I've never heard of anything that high though.

Anyway i didnt get what this post was about. but i think its about all the new fencers coming in because of holocrons... yeah i dont like it much either.
