I have read through this forum and have found several people stating what of the tree need to be leveled 1st and such. Post your experience and lets get a definitive answer. That way I / WE have a DEFINITIVE answer on what part of the skill tree to focus on 1st.

I'm going to ignore the Combat XP tree's because by the time you Master Fencer that should have been done long before.

I first went TWO up on the speedbranch to get bleed and a speed boost, bringing meto a total of 0-2-0. Then I went up 3 inthe TECHbranch to get body hits 2 and 3, 0-2-3. Then I went up the rest of the way in the speed branch, 0-4-3. Then I finished the tech branch,0-4-4. I totally ignored the S&Gbranch and finished it later. By the time I finished 1 skill in S&G Branch I was at 1-4-4-4. S&G was finished pretty quickly and then I went master. Ta-da.

I think the community's pretty unanimous that Footwork is the most important tree. The only real debate seems to be whether or not you pick up Techniques 1 before finishing Footwork out or not in order to get Body Hit 2.
