I don't know what SOE has up its sleeve reguarding the possibility of new weapons that are designed with the One Handed Art of the Sword in mind, but I'm sure you have some great ideas for newer, more...uh...updated designs than what we have already (ques the Vibro-butterknife).

Hey, a Vibrosword would be a welcome addition (even for the HeavySwordsman).

I have my own ideas in limbo, but what are some of your ideas?

There are also those rare drops that contain "Special", for lack of a better word, weapons.Weapons with stats that would make the most somber person drool and their knees turn to jello... oh the possibilities.

I would like to see diff versions of curved swords and some kind of royle broad sword.

Just a good looking big knife, but not swordlike. Gurkah/Kurki blade, some sort of bowie knife, but something bigger and more menacing than the vibro butter spreader, and not annother katana or cuttlas. But I don't see any other new weapons introduced into other profesions, so we're unlikely to see love.

A Kama (1-handed small scythe) would look pretty cool.

The weapon graphic from KOTOR are sweet, the vibroblade and vibrosword look cool and elegant, I hope it will replace the current VB graphic.

Sephiroth's sword? You mean the double-bladed-ish thingy?

Darn it people!

I don't wanna be carrying around huge or exotic weapons ... I just want a long straight edged sword (one handed of course) with thrusting weapon flavor offering elegant nature of ... "fencer" profession. I am tired of a blood-thursty-marine-with-a-combat-knife-going-all-over-the-mob look. It doesn't go with a beautiful twi'lek dancer at all.

Kukri sounds like a good idea since we got the combat knife. Gurka's use them instead of a combat knife you know? But kukri gotta have some AP. I saw a young Nepali "axe" off a cow's head in one single blowwith a oversized version of it. (It will have slow speed though cosidering all the weight is on the blade.)

Kama? It is way too primitive weapon to fit the starwars well. I don't think they reap the field with one of those squatting when they can coast the dune sea with a speeder.

P.S. Sephie's sword was a double handed katana-like thingie. We got that. ... wrong profession though.

An actual starwars one hand weapon. basically a rapier but instead of a pointy tip there is a small blaster barrel that when hit releases a small piercing blaster bolt ar point blank range. Fits us nicely huh. Read more about in the starfighter of adumar Xwing number 9 book.

**edit**! I was reading this post, and I was thinking, "Boy I can't wait to say, 'Why not just shoot blaster bolts out of our sword'"? But you beat me to it. Anyways, i'd like a long stiletto elegant fencing weapon, kind of like something a professional fencer would use.

If the blast has any kind of range- I'm all against it.

If it does balst damage w/i the normal range of the weapon - np.

In the theme of one-handed weapons:

- Broadsword
- Sabre
- Foil
- Sai
- Chinese Straight Sword (complete with tassle)
- Electro-weaponry (as an option?)
- Light Sabre (yes, I know only Jedi can use them. What's your point?)
- Hand Axe
- Mace
- Chainsaw hand attachment (go Ash)

Some are redundant, but hey, it's variety. (When the continuity has take all the energy weapons out of your hands, there's only so much room.)

I still say Vibrosword, a model for 1h and 2h. Also the current vibro blade design is true to the Star Wars books. Sorry KOTOR fans, but this is the authentic blade.
