Fencer Archive

I have read all of the info on the stacking of secondary defenses. And from that it would seem that it is a silly waste to combine any ranged/melee prof that doesnt stack. But I sort of had it in my mind to be a Fencer/carbineer.

The carb part of the equation wont be changing, so I am stuck with heavy swordsman if I want to take advanatge of the good defenses - Is there any reason at all that you can think of to mix and match the fencer and carbineer professions? It would seem only Pistols is idealwith Fencer.

My head is a bit cloudy from the info and the data, so before i drop my fencer to start on my swordsman I just wanted to make sure.

Well it depends if your happy playing a fencer/carbineer or simply "that guy that counter attacks real well". Sure the fencer damage isn't what a 2h swordman's is. However the fencer still has really high generic defenses. melee, ranged, def vs knockdown... these are all higher than any other melee profession.

If your just going for a high counter attack mod. Then no fencer isn't for you. However if you want to wear that "mercenary" title from carbineer, AND be good at using a vibro blade (no soldier is complete without a combat knife). Well then fencer makes perfect sense!! It's all about what motivates your time on SWG. Are you numbers driven, are you concept driven, or are you alittle bit of both? Me I am alittle bit of both.

You may want to double check. I beleave the carbiners special defence is block, the same as Pikeman. And not counterattack which is 2hSwords.

im Blademaster and 2/0/0/2 in Carbineer for the knockdown and the stun... Works wonders.
