when I first started the game back at day 1 those were two profs that I decided in beta that I wanted to mix, when I was a MF/MSL I always saw myself as a star wars version of any great war hero durring like middle ages, my guild mates would call me "they're fearless leader" I was up close and personal with everything we came across while hunting even using both fencer and squad leader specials, of course I would be constantly hopped up on muon but ah well.....SL prof although not much to it, is certainly a great prof to roleplay with, plus ya cant argue with the +30 to melee and ranged defense

Squad leader is an extremely powerful profession if utilized correctly.

There isnt anything bugged with Squad Leader except the skill that allows you to equal out the wounds among the group. The problem is so many people dont know how to use. If used properly a SL in a group makes them about 10 times as powerful. So many people dont know how to use it, and claim that it is bugged because of it.

I dont know however, about adding fencer to it. Most Squad Leaders are in the back watching the battle and using specials to aid the group. With fencer you are kind of right in the thick of things and cant really look around and check out the battle. Best thing to go with SL would probably be rifleman, but that is all preference I guess. You would definitely want something with a range.

Ohh we play SWG not Daoc, having a "buffbot" spamming retreat is not utilized correctly

I am part of Xing's elite PVP guild on the naritus server, and we have a squad leader in guild, and when hes in groups PVP we are much more effective. things like dizzy and burst runs are no longer an issue furthermore having a smart squad leader can make your group much more organized and go on the naritus forums and ask anyone how good SYN is. I wont even go into detail. and then ask who is the best PVPers on the server, our name will most likely be dropped.

Squad Leaders make a big difference. and that is a Fact.

when I played DaoC i had a laptop by my side with the (Nesecarry for PvP) buffbot, I run the same thing on SWG, pair'd with a friend's second account (msl) 2 buttons can do everything a person would need to.

Communication, teamspeak, beats the heck out of typing.

Don't assume you know how my team operates. We utilize TeamSpeak for every engagement. It's a requirement to have to even enter my player associations. We utilize a Squad Leader with every opportunity we can. We have two guilded to take advantage of ALL their abilities.

Indeed, but it's when you do encounter the rare organzized and effecient imperial group that the squad leaders abilities are fully noticable.
