Thread: Ackley Bones and Batons ( CSR Policy )

After much hounding the devs, they just posted this on the KB

"What should I do with an Acklay Bone that has invalid statistics?

During the early periods of the Geonosian Cave release, the Acklay Bones that could be found within the dungeon had an error in their statistic values. These bones incorrectly reported a minimum damage that was much higher than the maximum damage they granted. Some weapons were generated using these bones that have contracted their invalid statistics. These weapons may violate the base legitimate weapon statistics guidelines and may be considered inappropriate due to these reversed statistics. All Acklay Bones that are unused and have reversed statistics must be reported to customer service through ticket submission (Player Character / Inventory) so we can correct this error. All weapons that have been generated using an invalid bone must also be reported to customer service for review. Failure to report any weaponry crafted from invalid Acklay Bones will result in the immediate confiscation of such weapons without reimbursement or warning."

So if you loot ackley bones, with min>max send a report to CSR and they will reverse the damage of the bones. DO NOT however make weapons with bugged bones, then contact CSR to get them reversed.

People useing batons with min>max without reporting them to CSR's will be deleted without replacements, and im guessing they are pretty firm on this one.

There ya go guys

Everytime I think John Smedly couldn't do something to deliver even worse customer service, he proves me wrong.

So let me get this straight, if you loot something in the game that has been there mistakenly for literally months now, you'll be fine if you open your ONE ticket on it, and hope to get a response. You may or may not get it fixed/replaced (something that we're often told they cannot/will not do) with something comperable (remeber the pet exchange?), and all will be well.

BUT, if you actually have the audacity to USE or have used one of these bones in the past months, and use the weapon that these things created, THEN the baton will be confiscated and deleted with no reimbursement.

And this was announced . . .. . . where? What at the KB boards? Correspondend boards?

What am I supposed to do with a 227-227 3.1 Stun Baton. Is that now illegal as well?

Nice baton. Worth 20 mill. Too bad it lost so much value overnight. Even if it's returned with the stats reversed, you will not have gotten your money's worth. A large part of the value was the fact that it avoided damage mitigatiaon...now, it's just a very high damage weapon. Sorry this happened to you.

Fury, thanks for the information.

Can you confirm what we are to do with weapons that may already have been build using bugged bones: are the weapons to have their stats reversed as well as the bones?

Also, what about weapons that were taken before this official statement was made (ie a time when no one knew there was a problem, but still lost weapons).

thanks,

Yeah quickly report your pvp stun batons so they can take them away without giving you a bone or stun baton back with close to the same dmg that is legal.

Upon asking a CSR what would happen if "he received reports on his desk tomorrow"

Quote From A CSR:

"As for the Ackly bones, we can "fix" the bones with bad modifiers. Its
just reversing the numbers.

Depending on the stats of the weapon we may have to conficscate it. I'm
not sure if or what we would compensate for in such a case."

The way i see it right now, if you report your baton to a CSR, and its min > max, or min=max, or max is not greater than min by enough, then they will take your baton, and not give you any immediate compensation.

Its been over a week since my baton was taken, and the "CSR Supervisor" i was told to contact has ignored/not replied to my emails to him.

That sucks for you man. I reported my batons yesterday morning and got replacement bones for them that night.

Clarify that Skinner: you reported your bugged weapons, and got replacement bones?

Of the same stats that were used for the weapons (obviously reversed)?

Wait I'm confused, let's say you had a 200ish/100ish min/max for an acklay bone and you had a stun baton made, turning out to about 260ish/199 damage...should you report a ticket to a CSR now? what would happen?i know of a few people on kauri who said they submitted tickets and the CSR helping them said it was meant to be or something and that they are legal...they even have ss's...
